Showed up at 10:40am on a Saturday morning; posted hours on the door state “open 10 AM to 7 PM“ - door was locked, no lights on, and no one answers the phone. Really frustrating.

I LOVE the Kindred in Oak Park Mall, and when I was early to meet some friends at the restaurant across the street from it's plaza location a couple weeks back, I was super excited to get to kill time checking out this bigger, fancier, even more fun women's clothing store. This place has such unique finds in it, and often from local designers. You may not like the prices, but you are often paying for handmade items, and you will DEFINITELY be the only one wearing said outfit wherever you go in it. I really hope this boutique stays around for a long time. I've come to love it too much. I just wish it's website offered even half the merchandise the store does, as I no longer live in the Kansas City area and would love to continue to shop at Kindred... and not just the limited items! The full catalog!

I usually do not make reviews about businesses bc stuff isn’t that deep to me, but this one made me feel some type of way (cried in my car????????). I was looking for a dress but realized the clothing didn’t go bigger than a large— and even the large I feel like ran small. I then asked an employee how large the sizes usually go, and she told me they get their clothes from vendors that give them XS-XL on occasion, but they typically get S-L.I feel as though this store only caters to certain body types and obviously mine is not one of them. I JUST had a baby so I cannot fit the range they carried which is very unfortunate— for them, not me. Needless to say, I will not be coming back due to the lack of body inclusivity.

Very disappointing when online it says you’re open until 8 and you get there at 7 and they have closed.
