I have had several high end Canon lenses repaired here. Fantastic work and great pricing. It is wonderful to know that skilled craftsman/tradesmen still exist. Thank you!!

I wanted to give this place a chance. I really did. I’ve seen the bad reviews but I also saw the good ones and knew of other film photographers who got their cameras serviced here. However, for the 5 months my camera was there, it wasn’t fixed, there was no communication, and my lens was lost. I would have to call every month for an update and I was always hit with a reply “Oh it’s tough, I’m still working on it” until one day I got the response “Oh I gave up”. So why didn’t you call? Why did I have to call you? You had my Canon F1 for almost half a year and you didn’t fix and you lost the lens that went with it. I should’ve just shipped it to a larger repair store in another state. I would advise you to do the same if you really care about your equipment.

Cranky elderly woman who was feeble but inappropriately rude. They do NOT work on digital cameras and could offer (uninterested) in helping.Hope they’ve made money because their front end to clients is abysmal.

Called to inquire a question and the woman on the phone was very rude and unhelpful. Seemed as if she was laughing at my question because I called regarding a digital camera even though I was unsure if she’d know anything to help since the shop does involve camera repair

Old hag was more concerned with smoking her cigs than being friendly when she scream at me through the outside door ‘what do ya want?’ And don’t bother bringing in a digital camera…cuz ‘he only works on film and is backed up several months’ she screeches at me…?

Had to call and check on my camera after a month. Said they didn't get around to calling me. They did get it fixed in a few days after that though. Went to pick it up on a Saturday and the person that answered the door was not friendly and didn't know how to even find my camera. I had to go in and find it myself the person threw a fit about me not having a mask. I would have just stayed out in the hallway if they could have found my camera themselves.

Excellent film camera checkup and repair at reasonable cost. Because most of the other film camera repair technicians have retired you have to be very patient and realistic to get your film camera worked on - in my case a little over 2 months for my medium format Mamiya RB-67. From an excellent technician that comes highly recommended it is well worth the wait.

I have taken all my film cameras to Dereninger for literally decades and have never been disappointed. They are precise, professional and prompt. I wouldn’t take my film cameras anywhere else.

I brought my little old camera in to get an expert opinion on whether or not it was worth fixing. Within a few minutes the camera had been evaluated and cleaned and is ready to go. I highly recommend Dereninger's and am most grateful to them for fixing my little heirloom.

I left my Olympus OM-1 camera with Archie on July 9th and picked it up September 10th. I think that is fast! I would say this sort of repair is not as common anymore and finding someone who can repair these film camera's is hard nowadays. I recommend if you bring your camera here, to ask for an estimate for when the repair will be done that way you aren't disappointed or angry. He is very busy, and works on a lot of cameras. I wouldn't go in expecting repair done in a few days. It isn't realistic! I am so happy with the repair he completed on my camera. Looking through the viewfinder it is completely new looking! It is my first camera, and he was very nice to me when I brought it in. He looked over everything on the camera. Thank you so much!

Nice gentleman told me he couldn't work on 2 of my old 35 mm cameras which just need a bit of tlc.

Absolutely the worst customer service in history! Do not go here for any repair! Go somewhere else or buy a new camera.

SO rude! I've got a camera in need of repair and was referred to them by another shop. I called to see if I could schedule a day to have it looked at and the woman literally laughed at me. She said they could not look at it for at least a few weeks. I asked if there were a schedule or wait-list I could join and again she laughed at me. It's OK to just say that you're not accepting new clients! No need to be disrespectful and unclear. Why act like you're too good to fix a camera if that's the business you're in?
