This place is such a lovely opportunity and source! I called here to help better my life. If you are low income and looking to get financial help and/or further your education with a short course this place is amazing for it. They helped me with getting my CNA and provided counseling for finances and building a professional resume! Not only that, but after you finish your certification they assist you with finding a good fitting job. Could not recommend this blessing of a place any more

Terrible experience with how I was talked to and treated. Within the first 15 minutes, I ended the appointment. Total waste of my time to drive there, only to listen to insulting condescension on things not related to my employment needs, from someone who is presumably supposed to LISTEN, then help disabled folks find employers. I hope there are no tax dollars going here!

You know for some ppl with disabilities or disabled children don't get help , but these people that are drinking and drugging and lying on the street (cuz that's what they choice to do ) when people that work hard hits a hard spot can't get no help it's so backwards Independence is the biggest b.s'rs around

The thing to remember when asking for help is it doesn't always happen immediately. I would be in bad shape without these wonderful people.

Is it legal for them to tell me they can't help me at this time , gives no reason, and does not answer after that?? Is it even human for these said people that care to shun o one person with a disabled child who's power has been off for over a month?? You people truly need to revisit customer service classes . I've done nothing wrong besides all for their help bc that's where 211 Tesla everybody who lives in independence area to go to first. I've tried all resources NOTHING FROM ANYBODY

I went in over a month ago filled out the paperwork it was told I qualified to get help. I called to check status of that help and was told they did not have any application. I've gotten no help and they were not helpful

I went there jumped through the hoops filled out the applications and was told that I qualified for utility assistance over a month ago and I called the LIHEAP to check the status of that utility assistance and they had no record of any application so I'm just out so I give them no stars but I have to give them one I guess to get in here otherwise I wouldn't get any..

Jumped through all the hoops to get Utility assistance and 3 months later heard nothing. And they wont answer the phone.

They have a huge variety of different things to help you with. Job money management good clothes toiletries and more.
