This is a true bike shop in every sense of the word. I live in KC but am in town visiting family and doing a good amount of riding. I busted a spoke on the front of my Mavic wheel. This is a unique wheelset where the spokes are bladed and not threaded through the wheel. They are tubeless ready which means they don't require rim tape. Essentially, they need a specific spoke. Problem is, Mavic went out of business and parts can be tricky to find. I met a guy at another shop I was talking to and he said you got to call Mark. He said Ballwin Cycles used to deal Mavic and Mark has been building wheels for years. He said, Mark will probably be able to help you today. I called the shop and Mark picked up. He said, "I bet I have a spoke that will work and to come on down". It was about a 50 minute drive but as soon as I walked in Mark and one of his mechanics started looking through the Mavic stuff. Mark found a spoke and got it installed on the spot and the wheel is rolling as true as the day I bought it. I was blown away. They even offered me a beer. This place is what I think of when I think of a bike shop. I could have hung out there all day and just talked bikes. Thank you Mark and crew!

First time trying this bicycle shop out. They were able to repair the issues on my mountain bike, it was faster than expected and very reasonable price. I'll be back again

Always super helpful. Willing to answer questions. I brought my sons bike in for an issue and I was out of their in 15 minutes and they fixed more things than what I even asked for. Highly recommend.

Great place. My 6 year olds rear wheel got bent when in the rack at school. They fixed it on the spot free of charge. They earned all my business in the future.

My first experience with Ballwin Cycles and I'd just say "This is what customer service is supposed to be". Outstanding and I'll definitely use them from now on. I just needed a simple tube replaced on my back tire. I walked in and within 5 minutes they replaced it and had me out the door.
