I had a great experience with my claim when my neighbor brought to my attention that my chimney top had been detached from the chimney. After getting on the ladder and looking at it I saw some other issues with shingles around it and so I decided to call Auto-Owners and ask them to come out and check out my problem. They found issues with my roof due to hail I had four or five weeks prior to this date and so the process started and they sent out an appraiser to appraise the amount of damage and he got that done within 3 days and then he shared the procedure with me on how to go about getting my roof fixed and how I would be given the money for the process in two different time periods to cover everything but my deductible. The agent also recommended a company because I had no idea who to use they got out there that day and looked at the roof and appraised it I guess and told me they would be there in 3 days and they would have my roof completed by 1:30 on the following Friday. They completed everything except for reattaching my gutter guards and it came back the following Tuesday and completed that and took any other trash that they didn't pick up previously and the whole process was completed. The agent who came out and appraised my roof was such a great help very professional and very courteous and I had a first-class experience and everything done in such a quick professional manner.

A dead tree from a neighboring property fell on my house, causing damage. The claim that was filed was on the neighbor’s insurance with Auto-Owners. I was contacted by Kendon Troyer, who supervised the claim. Since it was not my insurance, I was totally surprised by Mr. Troyer’s professional and objective interaction with me. He listened carefully, never hurried, and told me the exact steps that would take place to see if this claim would be covered. He left contact information for me in several ways (email, phone, and text). He told me I was welcome to contact him with questions at any time. He followed up, again explaining the next steps carefully, making sure I completely understood. His kindness and careful attention to detail made me feel totally comfortable. I cannot give enough credit to Mr. Troyer and Auto-Owners in the handling of this claim. Thank you so much!

We had a water pipe burst Christmas Eve. It tool us 2 days to discover where it was. Took over 8 weeks to repair the damage to 4 rooms in our house. Even though it is the policyholders' responsibility to clean up, repair and replace the damage, Auto Owners offered excellent support.
