Second night of are stay we found bed bugs. Had to leave in the middle of the night. Told I would be reimbursed for my stay. Instead, we’re charged for all the nights that we did not stay. Tried calling and talking to a manager nobody would return my phone call. Don’t stay this place!!!

We reserved a room here as it was advertised to have a nice restaurant on site, as well other amenities. Restaurant has been closed since 2020. We asked for room service to do a few basic things, fill our shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, and that didn't happen.Not a great experience here.

Great location, clean, a bit outdated and price would have been more fair if the pool was open but I get it, it's slow season and they were doing maintenance ??♀️ the front desk was a bit rude checking in but checking out he was the sweetest!

We didn't have a shower curtain check out is at 11 and house keeping trying coming into My room twice at 10am when clearly the latch was locked

FALSE ADVERTISING: NO RESTAURANT. I don’t know how any of these reviews aren’t mentioning the glaring deception. Their website says they have a restaurant. They haven’t since 2018. The front desk person said the owners deliberately do not update the website. Nothing on the website/photos are accurate.

The pool was nasty and the hot tub was not working eggs tested like water the biscuit was hard as a rock the rooms were little elevator was Fast and slow no stairs water was running would not turn off I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE WE DID NOT HAVE BED BUGS BUT IT WAS

Very disappointed. The wallpaper was falling off the carpet was torn, the plug in the tub wouldn't stay shut, no hot water in the bathroom and no bath towels. We called the desk and ask for some and they never came. We had to go after them.

We will NEVER stay here again.If I could give a -5,I would!! I wish I could post pictures of this place during our stay!Rooms: Unless you get a King size bed you are not getting a microwave!! Explained how a bed size determines that!!The pillows are WAY WAY past due for the garbage! Matted cotton is the best way to describe them! The plug in between the bed was pulled completely out of the wall and laying on the table! Not real sure what the 2 bare wires sticking out of the top were for but there they were just hanging out! The bathroom door looked like some one kicked it open and there was not even an option to lock it because there were no lock guts to it! I called the front desk and asked for a trash can, expressed the problems and I was instructed to look in all the places I just searched for it before calling! I asked for towels so we could shower after our 6 hour ride to get there, after 2 hours I sent my husband to get them and was told they would bring them...at midnight I called and told her that I was on my way and she better have towels waiting for me and she then brought 2 towels for 3 people!!The next day I made a report about all of the safety issues again and was told the maintenance would come...I spoke to said maintenance at check out and he was never told of any of the issues! I asked for pool towels the 1 time of letting my 9 yr old grandson swim and was informed that they didn't have any towels and none in laundry..there was 3 others there to ask for towels! Not in the roos and not in the pool area!!.WHERE ARE YOUR TOWELS MA'AM!! We were trying to drip dry enough to go to our room but was freezing so I decided to drip water all the way back so we didn't end up sick,upon exiting the pool area I saw an older woman and made the comment that we were going to get sick because the gal claimed no towels,the woman went in the back area came straight back to me and handed me 3 nice warm pool towels...I think that front desk gal is lazy!! Did I mention the slimy sides of the pool that people were writing their names in on the wall of the pool...I called the front desk the last night of our stay because we needed toilet paper and the young man asked me to give him 5 minutes to bring it,less than 2 there was a knock on the door! That gal is lazy!! Needless to say we will NEVER stay there again!!Oh the ceiling in the second floor break room ...where you have to go use the microwave because we only had a double queen bed room was falling in and bad leaking... when we turned on the microwave it leaked into the floor...whaaat?!? And that parking lot was ridiculous! If you have bad back or legs this parking lot is not for you!Safety: I wish I could post the pictures I took of each problem/safety hazard!!Walkability: The parking lot was ridiculous! Everyone parked in the handicap in back because they didn't want to climb up the hill to climb up the stairs to enter the front building!Food & drinks: Breakfast was the ONLY THING decentNoteworthy details: THIS WHOLE BUILDING NEEDS TO BE REMODELED OR DEMOLISHED AND THE HELP NEEDS TO BE SCHOOLED ON THEIR JOB!!BUY ALOT MORE TOWELS!!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. We booked adjoining rooms. We were told we would be on separate floors at arrival. Waited 20 minutes for adjoining rooms to be cleaned. When we went to the room the beds of one room was not made, carpet was dirty/ worn, and room stunk. Hot tub was also not working and that was the main reason we booked there. We canceled our reservation and went to a different hotel.

If you think about booking the Grand Plaza hotel because of the full buffet breakfast on the 9th floor, don’tbother. We stayed here because I wanted to show my husband the beautiful view of Branson from the 9th floor and the wonderful full buffet breakfast, only to find a sign posted in the elevator saying they are only offering a grab and go breakfast (apple, muffin, a small Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich, YUCK) on the second floor. The front desk clerk said they don’t have enough guests to serve a real breakfast. This should be on their website and not posted in the elevator. I feel cheated and won’t stay again, even though I’ve stayed here several times before. Additionally, our small king suite smells musty, and the bathtub faucet drips. Sink is dirty, mismatched towels—some worn brown ones and some white ones. I’m thinking they don’t have enough people to clean, since the elevator is filthy and the headboard on our bed is full of handprints and old spills. Interior hall carpets are filthy. The wallpaper in the sitting room part of our suite is peeling. We got a “wake up” call at 2:50 am! What!?!? Also, the pool is closed for renovations, which would make sense to do that in the off season, but once again, travelers beware, it isn’t noted on the website. We will not choose the Grand Plaza again. Such a disappointment.

One of the best Continental breakfast we gad in a long time. Coffee was fresh and the attendant was there to make sure things ran smoothly. The room where great military discount and inexpensive. Look, the best thing about this hotel was the continental breakfast. The staff there were SO sweet! The front desk staff was generally pleasant too, however they were in short supply. I waited 20 minutes to check in because there was no staff there upon arrival, just a sign saying "I'm away helping other guests, I'll be back shortly". The room was VERY dated and worn. There was a mystery bottle cap (I'm guessing from a previous visito) under the table. Luckily, we got 2 towels in our room. When I called for more, there weren't any availability and I ran into another mom in the elevator who had the same issue.Heads up - signs are up all over the place that the pool will be closed all of January and February 2024!

The hotel was quite outdated, public spaces like the pool were dirty, beds were very uncomfortable and the hot tub was out of service, but that wasn’t indicated to us at all during booking. The staff were friendly and accommodating, though, and the location was great. We paid less than we would have at other hotels in the areas, so I guess you get what you pay for. We would not stay here again.
