Absolute joke of a school bookstore. They are never open at a reasonable time, and they never have any textbooks on file. Also half their store is blocked off, so you can never shop for any books in person, and it makes the place very small. I specifically asked for new rentals, and half of the books delivered to me were used, yet I was still charged with the price of a new book. I tried going over there because their website said they closed an hour after I went over there, only for them to close an hour earlier. Then one of the workers gestured me to go away in a rude manner like I hadn't already gathered that you guys closed at a time that wasn't even accurate.

Great for literature and staff picks, but wouldn't go there for economics, tech, sociology. Need to convert the logo sweatshirt store next door into a connected cafe.

Disappointed at being sold used textbooks where the policy of the amount of used pages was over the amount that policy of selling back the used textbooks. I didn’t use them the majority of the semester even when it’s my major to study. Then I go to return them and they say it’s over the amount of pages used when I didn’t use the amount pages needed to deem a workbook unsellable. I’m not coming back to this store. I’m kind of upset at the experience when I can’t get my money back for workbooks and buying already written in most of the pages of the workbook.

Great staff. Big selection with even more available online. A bit pricey but that is expected in school bookstores.

Love the variety of merchandise available at the store. Many sizes in stock at any given ti.e and top brands with the macalester college logo, like under armour. I love the vibe, and that it is linked to Garrison Keillor's book store on one side. The people in the shop are an interesting mix because of the macalester story's proximity to the bookstore.
