Bowling alley is “retired”. No bowling available anymore. But the food is good and you can play board games and pool.

GET. THIS. ICE CREAM. Super friendly service and generous scoops of ice cream. I ordered one scoop (around 2.49 after tax) and it was at least three scoops (counting what went into the cone)! So good.

If you're a big bowling Dan this isn't your place. The lanes are very warped and uneven. But this place is great for kids. Bowling is cheap and usually very few people are there.

I'm calling Gopher Spot a snack bar and that's it. Ok then a snack bar with a bowling alley on the side and a couple of tables almost in the hall. Not a convenience grocer, just more like a gas station selection of drinks and sandwiches. All the usual and a few surprises like thickly wrapped Italian style sandwiches, not junky and not filled with avocado either. It's a narrow space so they must have used some engineering students to configure efficient use of limited space.

I bowled at alley today for the first time in 15 years. Good prices, good service, and very quiet.Unfortunately, it was boiling in there, and my games weren’t what they usually are because of the discomfort from the excessive heat. Please turn on (or up) the A/C!

We had my son's 6th birthday party here recently. When we arrived the party area was set up with table covers, plates, napkins, cups, and goodie bags. We had the Gold package so the kids all received ice cream which is made on campus and my son received a Happy Birthday bowling pin which we had the kids sign. The staff was helpful and friendly and my son had a great time. I liked that the only thing I had to bring was the cake! There was only one other family bowling so we practically had the place to ourselves. This is a great place for a kids bowling party, or just bowling with your kids. I think I'll go back just to try another flavor of ice cream!

This is quite the nifty joint for a bowling alley/game room. Not only does it boast an attractive bowling alley, it also has a great selection of food! Being on an eco-friendly campus, there is a vast array of vegetarian and organic food options. They even have an Asian section! I like the pre-packaged sandwiches that are refrigerated in the back. They also have ice cream that was specifically made from the university's food science students that is delicious! The staff here are very friendly and personable. Student Gameroom Manager Nguyen Pham is one of the best employees I've encountered here! Definitely a good place to have fun, study, or just pig out on :)

The Gopher Spot, a convenience store on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota, is a great option for vegetarians and vegans in the area. They have tons of vegetarian and vegan options, including sandwiches, salads, burritos, noodle bowls, beverages, wraps, and more. They are constantly striving to improve their product selection, and are open to suggestions.
Starting in early 2008 they are launching the Gopher Spot Goes Green campaign which highlights their vegan, vegetarian, organic, natural, and fair trade products. They are also making changes to improve their relationship with the environment and to educate their customers on the benefits of these healthy lifestyles.
The Gopher Spot is by far the best food option on the St. Paul campus. I highly, highly recommend you stop by!
