looking for a daycare? Keep looking!!! These people have scammed my friend out of hundreds of dollars. They have zero patience for your children. If your 2, 3, 4 year old has a little fit, they get thrown out. They take toys right out of the kids hands, that sure wouldn't make me happy, especially as an adult. That is not how you work with children. It sure looks great but I would do your research and move on. They are short staffed. Short staffed, and short with your kids. They also will withhold lunch from your child if they are not acting right. I have been in childcare for YEARS, so when I had availability to babysit, the girl told me she was so hungry and that she didn't get to eat anything.. I asked, well did you get lunch? She said no, they made me sit in the office, I never got lunch. They run the daycare like its a military school. Gotta take your orders or you get sent home.

I am very upset with this place. Anytime they make mistakes, they blame the parents instead of confronting the issue.I’ve had to leave work because they said my kids had a fever and they didn’t when I got home to check, I live 3 minutes down the road. They lose important paperwork, the director is rude and interrupts when you are trying to speak about an issue. The owner blows you off, and I could go on. I am very upset with the place. As a single mother with no family or friends in this state, I depend on daycare to be able to do things I need to do. I will not be bringing my kids here anymore.

I went here as a child and it was a traumatic experience that I remember vividly to this day!! They had a child enrolled that constantly bullied other children l, including me and my siblings. My mom reported it to them every single time there an incident; however, they never did anything about it. My mom ended up having to switch daycares to one that was much further from our home but that didn’t allow things of that nature to happen.

It saddens and disappoints me to have to write this review. Due to an interaction with Colleen last week at the N. St Paul location. Due to an unexpected family issue and weather my son did not get to care until after 9am, which apparently is the cut off time. Was informed my son couldn’t stay for the day. Upon her being told I could lose my job her response was I should’ve read the parent handbook. Very rude, lack of empathy and didn’t question why he wasn’t on time. My issue isn’t with the policy it is the way being spoken to and attitude that was not appropriate and being talked to like a child. To me she has always been the staff member that doesn’t come off as the most compassionate or approachable to begin with. In my opinion It’s disturbing if this is suppose to be the person 2nd in command that a class or 3 on communication especially in a work environment as childcare is needed because it makes me ? If you can talk and treat a parent in such a way how are you treating and talking to my child?? She might as well said I could care less he can’t attend today. It’s not the information you tell people it’s how you tell them why my son is being dis enrolled. She could’ve said he couldn’t attend for the day in a totally more respectful manner would’ve made a world of difference and the way I feel walking into the daycare and perception has totally changed.

Horrible daycare! I often do "surprise" visits to check on my kids and how the daycare is being run when parents aren't expected. On several occasions I walked in and teachers were yelling (literally) at the kids. My children complained often that the teachers were mean to them amd said the teachers would tell the kids to "shut up". I also had issues with my children being bullied here and there was never anything done about it. I put my children in Playschool instead and they loved it there! If you put your children here and they tell you they aren't being treated well, don't take their feelings lightly!Lol.... Editting this since I cannot respond to the owner response any other way. I had 4 children enrolled here, they are located off McKnight off the same street as North High. My children absolutely attended here!

I love world around us. It is very convenient for me and my children. I been bringing my children to world around us for almost 2 years now and i wouldn't change a thing. The place is always clean if you see a floor not clean better believe someone is getting around to it. There is a young lady who i always see mopping floors and cleaning windows. Dawn is a doll she is so loving and understanding and she also love all the kids that attend the daycare. She is the best at what she does. I would highly recommend this center for anyone who is looking to put their child into daycare. The kids learn so much and there is a very diverse group of kids who attend. I love it!!!

World Around Us is a wonderful daycare! My son has been going there since he was 18 months old, he is 3 1/2 now. He has a close relationship with all of the teachers and students, all ages. It really makes me feel happy and relieved that he is in such great care while I am at work. The director, Dawn is so loved by him. His teacher, Miss Brittany is his ultimate favorite. He even tells me how she scratches his back for him during nap :). I can't express enough how much I appreciate the professional, clean, family oriented ethic WAU brings to the children. The staff do a great job teaching the kids as well as showing them a fun filled day. Water days in the summer, field trips on their cute little bus to the nature center, all of the creative little arts and crafts they make, everything. Their efforts definitely do not go unnoticed!

World Around Us has been a wonderful place for our daughter! My family has always been received respectfully, treated in a friendly and positive manner. Their hours are extended. This flexibility has made it easy for my wife and I to juggle our responsibilities. The culture is inviting and accepting. They have a diverse group of children. Security appears very important and the facility is thoroughly cleaned and organized.Go check them out!

World around us is an amazing daycare center. They have been caring for my daughter for just about 10 years. They are carrying for my son from birth he is 3 now. This daycare is fully staffed, clean, organized & they treat you as a family!
