Bjorn answered our questions and helped us find the items we needed. We received good customer service and had an overall good experience during our visit.

No service; I signed up to have a board delivered to the shop. No one even said hello or had any interest in my potential business. I would have considered picking up wax or extra gear, but no one was around to help me. I’ll be going elsewhere for sure next time I want equipment. Not worth the time spent there

Bjorn, Assistant Manager is great! Very friendly and attentive, he made my whole day. I think if you’re here to just buy parts and supplies, it’s great. However, I came in to have my Aventon Level 1 repaired (and to my knowledge Erik’s is the only shop and dealer offering dedicated service of Aventons in the Twin Cities). No less than 15 minutes after I start biking *right out of the shop*, my power supply fails again (which was my initial complaint), AND my after-market rear motorcycle lights (the first-generation Levels don’t come with any lights, so I had to install and hook up to the battery my front and rear lights myself years ago) stopped working. Mechanic’s service notes weren’t very detailed, and both times I came into the shop (drop-off and pick-up), there was no mechanic on-site. When I first dropped off, I was told their mechanic would give me a call the next day to touch base and give me an update on my bike. No communication that day. But the day afterwards I get an automated text notifying it’s been repaired… I’m going to have to disassemble the bike and look at it myself, and repair it myself when I have the time, which is very hard for me to do post-COVID. So, whatever servicing was done may have left my bike in WORSE condition! If you have a broken Aventon, don’t bother coming in unless you know you can have a face-to-face with the mechanic directly. Very disappointing and I think I’ll end up just giving away my old Aventon if I can’t have it professionally serviced within the Twin Cities. I would recommend Perennial Cycle and Behind Bars NE for actual mechanical service and expertise. They both deal with e-bikes, just lacking a specialisation in Aventons. If you have a malfunctioning Aventon you may have to deal with it yourself if you want to keep using it…

Jason, I think a store manager, was great. Super patient, showed me all the key points of an e-bike, helped me size and test ride one. The whole experience was fabulous. Another young man was behind the counter too, long hair and nose piercing, super good natured.
Oh, and I bought an Avanton level.2 commuter e-bike that is going to be ridiculously fun for years.
