Customer service is seriously lacking. They almost never greet you when you walk in. They aren’t pleasant at all. They don’t ask if you need any help. It’s not a wonder why the store is always empty. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until this location goes out of business.

I went in today to see if I could resolve an ongoing issue. Bought a pair of shoes in June. Returned them in early August as they were falling apart. I was given a replacement pair. Today I took the shoes back. They fell apart again. The salesperson helped me pick out a different pair of shoes on store credit. Great customer service!

I didn't get assistance from them when I needed it. But the quality of their shoes is good.

Ordered a pair of shoes online for my daughter, my husband was going to pick up. First right style of shoe, wrong size. He went back in for the right size, she gave him the wrong style of shoe I purchased this time ?

My husband and I went 655pm on a weekday. It was difficult to tell if the store was open because the signs were all turned off. The two store employees barely greeted us amd went back to their phones and books. There were two other people in the store and they also were not helped at all. I would say we were more of an inconvenience to them. My husband purchased 2 pairs of shoes reluctantly. It's going to be very hard to go back. I used to be a loyal customer and a rewards member. Poor customer service!

Supposed to open at noon on Sunday. So waited 15 minutes. Store still closed and dark ?? Fine, you can’t open today…put up a sign so customers aren’t waiting around.

I'll start with this--I like the Famous Footwear app & ordering online is a breeze. However, I DO NOT like going into our local store. My experience tonight with an employee cemented my opinion. They close at 8pm. I walked in at about 7:15. All I wanted to do was try on some boots I saw that they had online before I bought them in the app. I'm giving them 1 star for a greeting when I walked in the door and because that's the minimum. I was trying on boots, had my phone out on the bench (in plain sight so I could check the time), and there was one other young gal in there trying on boots too so she was in the same section of the store. I'm usually totally in my own world when I'm shopping, but I started to notice that the same lady kept walking around our area and then she started doing this overly dramatic exasperated/frustrated loud sigh over and over again. I kind of finally realized that she was an employee and was ticked off because it was 7:46pm and she was ready to go. I really couldn't believe that someone in the customer service industry would behave like that. It was actually petulant. I read other reviews on Google about this store, and many of the ones that were written recently say the same thing.

I understand they maybe short staffed but when you say you close at 6 and your doors are locked at 545 not good for business. Your losing customers and money

Unhelpful staff. The 2 cashiers behind the counter didn’t greet me or any other customers (while I was there for a few hot minutes) upon arrival. I had to approach the cashiers to ask a question about a certain pair of shoes being in stock. The one told me to go look in clearance, on my own, even though it was not busy in the store at the time, during the day.

Sat May 15, 2021. We arrived 15 mins before 7 pm close. ( not intentionally )The older gal immediately informed us of the fact. I don't recall being greeted. There was one other customer and a younger cashier in the store. I asked where to find youth shoes and without leaving her post ( at first I thought maybe the younger cashier was being trained, the reason for the older gal not coming to help us ) in the front of the store she let us know where to find our section. My daughter looked at shoes and I purchased some socks for 15.99. While my daughter looked around with no help from either ladies at the checkout. I paid for my socks. The younger gal told me they were buy one get the 2nd sock purchase 1/2 off. I purchased more socks. The older gal motioned to an additional selection of socks, never moving from her position at the left of the exit. She stood there with her hands clasped together and for the vibe she gave she might as well of crossed her arms.I've worked in retail and I know late arrivals are a pain but I treated the last customer no different than the 1st customer of the day. Here's the kicker my daughter was trying to find her size, she had a pair of shoes picked out in 10 mins! We were in the front of the store. Opposite corner of the checkout. All the older gal had to do was leave her post and walk to the right hand side of the exit. It's not like my daughter was all the way in the back of the store!I paid for her 59 dollar shoes at 6:57 and was out of the store. On my way out I informed the cashier's, I will not come back again. I explained that yes, I realized it was 15 minutes to closing and I'm sure they were tired and wanted to go home ( as I walked towards the exit ) but they couldn't bother to help us AT ALL. We probably would of been out faster! I will go elsewhere like Scheels next time.
