On Aug 20th 24 I went to the post office a little after 4PM. When I entered the building I was surprised to find the office was empty and the door was closed. I tried to open the door but it was locked. Immediately I started wondering why the office was closed so early. Is it a holiday? I couldn't think of any reason so I looked inside and noticed there was a clerk (a lady) behind the counter looking at me. I tried the door handle one more time. The lady didn't react so I began to wave at her and asked if the office was closed. It took a while for her to react and she told me to look for the information on the door. I looked but I couldn't find the office work hours, nor a note of why the office might be closed. The lady kept looking at me quietly while I struggled. I asked for a second time. This time she told me to use another door. I went close to the widows and tried to see if there was another entrance to the office. Then I realized the main entrance had a double door so I tried the second handle. It was unlocked so I managed to enter the office. I told the clerk that if they want to keep one of the doors locked they have to place a clear sign pointing to the operational door. Her response shocked me. She told me with a smirk on her face that the problem was with me and not with the door. That response was so unexpected, rude, and arrogant that I remained speechless. I decided to pay close attention to her attitude for the remaining interaction. Her tone remained very hostile. She took the package and asked me to verify the recipient's address on the screen. I told her that two letters (the initials of the recipient) were missing. She raised her voice for the first time and asked me to just press the "OK" button. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable doing that since the recipient's information seemed incomplete and this was a very important package. She yelled at me to press the "OK" button and that the recipient should not be displayed on the screen. That was another wave of inexplicable rudeness but I obeyed and pressed the button. After that, she started complaining with irritation about how much additional work Registered Mail requires not only for her but also for her colleagues. I remained quiet and waited for her to finish. After she was done I told her this was the most disappointing experience I've had with a USPS clerk ever and I am going to write a review and possibly file a complaint. She smiled at me and responded, "Please do". I asked for her name and she told me her name was Jeniffer.
Normally I would let such things roll and just forget about them. There was no profanity or violence involved. I have worked in busy environments and I know how stressful this could be. However, that was not the case. Jennifer was not busy, I was the only customer in the office. She seemed relaxed. She chose deliberately to be rude, aggressive, and arrogant with a sense of impunity. That speaks for a deeper problem and a complete lack of even basic business ethics. It is difficult to understand why a person with such social and professional deficiencies is assigned to work on a front register.
The locked door and the lack of clear and accessible indication is a completely separate problem unrelated to the attitude issues of the clerk.
I had to use the USPS office again the next day. I carefully inspected the notes on the door. There is a simple "Exit" sign on the locked door placed at a low location below my waistline making it practically invisible when staying close to the door. The choice of location is absurd and against any regulations for the use of signs in public spaces. Additionally the word "exit" does not necessarily imply a locked door. The sign should have been placed at eye level and should have stated "Exit ONLY. Please use the other door" with an arrow clearly pointing to the operational door.
In the Google reviews, I noticed I am not the first person

They admit to "mis delivering" three of my packages. Still waiting on a response before more of my mail gets lost. I was told I would get a response by one person within 48 hours and by a different person by the end of the day. Still waiting. Even though they admit they are at fault I am out my items and the money I spent. No accountability and no way to get help. Worst institution ever!!!!

This location is top notch! Workers are always friendly, never much of a wait and if there is it is because they are really busy

Clean location with well stocked supplies. Smaller post office so plan your visit accordingly, lines are to be expected. The Kiosk and package drop bin is very helpful.

I wish I could do a zero star review. A white old lady was very rude and racist. Will never go back to this location. They should have some manners and respect with their customers since they work for the government.

Went to Pick up certified mail from post office and there was a woman dropping off packages there . The woman behind the counter named Shannon told the woman she wasn't allowed to use the boxes she was using . The woman told her she has always shipped off packages with those boxes and she is a small business owner and has never had any issues . Instead of being a kind human Shannon argued with the woman and was very rude and had a terrible act of customer service. I then said out loud that she was being rude and could have explained to the woman what boxes to properly use instead of being argumentative. When Shannon came to help my husband and I , she had a terrible attitude and was taking it out on the other customers she also after hid her name tag as well . If you want good customer service do not come to the Blaine location .

This has been the 3rd time this happenThey keep delivering my packages somewhere Else and when I confront my neighbors about it, they say they don’t have it when I clearly know that the lady that be delivering my mail, always always be delivering my packages to my back neighbors. It is really frustrating for this to always happen to me. I don’t know why they cannot just double check the house numbers before they throw it there, I do not even own a porch to my house but on the email that I got when you guys delivered it said delivered door porchI need to speak to a supervisor or get a number immediately because this is really ridiculous and the lady always denies that that is not her…I understand that they do not care cause it’s not their package I did not choose for USPS to deliver my package in the first place. They always do this.

Things will sit for days saying “preparing for delivery”, everyone else seems to get a package down the line at a decent rate (we can see the times each place handles a package before shipping) but this place is where packages go to sit. Maybe they need employees, but regardless it’s pretty lame to wake up to the same nebulous update: “preparing for delivery”. It must be a pretty crazy process if it takes days to prepare a small box to show up 2 minutes down the street from this building.Update: they’ve lost the package it seems, because today it now simply says “labelCreated, a delivery date will be provided as soon as possible”. This location is a joke

The two older white ladies that work here are extremely rude. I’ve had multiple encounters with them and same experience every time. I’ve tried to buy envelopes and boxes here and they make you stand in line to buy the box, refuse to help with packaging and then send you to the back of the line. Super frustrating and zero help.

Monday September 18th, 2023Post office didn't open at 8:30am like it says. A line of people were waiting for the doors to open. Most left around 8:40am some others and I stayed to around 8:50am.When I left, two women were still standing waiting. I get this is a government job and the post office is hurting for employees, but this is sad. People have packages to send on timetables, for some people it's their livelihood.
