Tom Mertz at H&R Block Wixom is the main reason for the 5/5 score. He was amazing!! He walked me through the entire process and explained things very clearly. I am a remote worker of 2 jobs, with both employers headquartered out of state, and Tom made sure I was not only filing correctly for this year but set up for an easier tax year next spring. He was kind, friendly, funny, and sweet. I usually am intimidated in these situations because I don't know what I'm doing, but Tom made it a calm and comfortable experience. He helped me plan ahead so I can have less owed next year. I really felt like he cared about me and wanted me to fully understand each step and where my money was going. He felt like a neighbor and a friend you could trust to help. I'm so grateful to have picked H&R Block Wixom with Thomas Mertz! Thank you, Tom!!

This was my first time filing my taxes without the help of my parents’ accountant, Thomas Mertz was extremely helpful and walked me through the process of filing my taxes. He answered all of my questions and was very friendly. I’m happy to say I found an accountant that I will continue to work with for years to come. If you’re a young adult like me & need help doing your taxes, definitely go see Tom.

I was assisted by Tony or Tom ( I forget, in bad with babes ) today & he was highly efficient, knowledgeable & friendly. Set up an appointment with them. Brought all our tax information but they could not handle the trust part for my taxes, Kathleen had no clue and wasted our time.

Only one person doing taxes I dropped off my paperwork on Thursday and couldn’t get any information about my taxes until Monday will go elsewhere next year

Thomas Mertz has been my tax guy for years and has always been there to help with any tax prep and has always answered any questions or concerns and has also went above and beyond to help me. Tom is a great guy and I highly recommend him.
