Beacon gave my grandfather the dignity in death that he had been denied in the final weeks of his life. Kirk and his people handled my needy, dysfunctional, forgetful family with incredible grace. He made the process of arranging my grandfather's funeral as easy as possible, and handled our very difficult situation exceptionally well. I will forever be grateful.

Our family would like to thank Beacon Cremation and Funeral Home. They went above our expectations.They did everything to make us comfortable in our time of sorrow. Their new place( old clocks funeral home)is very soothing and comfortable with the new remodel and not to mention the price. If they had any bad encounters with anyone,I would find it hard to believe,for what they did for our family. Thank You again!!

I wanted to let anyone know what a blessing Joseph and the others at Beacon were to our family. We traveled from Florida when Mom passed and the amount of help and comfort they provided our family was unmatched. We can not thank you enough. I wish we could give them 10 stars.

HUGELY DISAPPOINTING!! Very slow, terrible customer service, cremains NOT divided as we were told they would be, response to this was "We followed the law and we are done"- ZERO CARING FOR THEIR MISTAKE!! Why even PRETEND that you care enough to listen and REMEMBER the families wishes (apparently not written down, or just ignored), if in the end it ends up being something ELSE? Why say you have experience with families that are not able to be in the same room together, if you handle it so poorly that you have disappointed customers? Obviously during such a sensitive time , DETAILS are very important. I recommend Sytsema.

Beacon handled all the arrangements for my husband's funeral. We were completely pleased with the entire experience. Cameron Gowell was so easy to work with. He's patient, compassionate and very detail oriented. I highly recommend Beacon.

Ive had better dealings with used car salesmen, at least they dont lie to you, and then change their story. You should never have a business dealing where you do not get ANY paper work, ESPECIALLY when you have lost a loved one. Nobody should get their chain yanked , whether its gross incompetence, or malicious intent - none of it has a place in honest business dealings.I was told one thing regarding my sons ashes, and I got something else, for their lack of being able to be forthright- or have decent record keeping. I do NOT recommend this business, I do not want another grieving family to go through what I did.

They told us the ashes would be divided according to what was agreed upon by the family, instead they divided the ashes DIFFERENTLY than was was agreed on, and expected, their response to bringing it to their attention was to claim they would verify with the other parties, but instead called the OWNER, and basically said "We followed the law and we are done". I do not recommend this business, they did not care AT ALL that they had made a mistake, how can anyone else be sure they wont make a mistake with THEIR loved one?. Its not like we get a do-over. Losing a loved one is a hard enough time without unnecessary distress due to uncaring mistakes.

Beacon handled the arrangements for my husband's funeral. First of all, the remodeling of the facility has totally changed the atmosphere of the place. Cameron Gowell personally helped us through this trying time. He made every step along the way as easy as possible. He was sensitive to our loss and gave us emotional support as we needed it and made sure that our every need was met. As a result, on the day of the service, everything went off without a single hitch. This funeral home has a bit of an uphill battle to gain business because of the problems with the previous owner. As far as my family is concerned, these new owners have totally overcome the problems of the past.

Kirk at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service-Pere Marquette Chapel helped us navigate the death of our loved one this week. We will forever be grateful for the support by him and his team at Beacon- they were extremely professional, kind and warm and enabled the funeral proceedings to happen without a hitch. Kirk’s knowledge about the process was invaluable, and the venue in Ludington was equally impressive. Thank you!
