I found Schindy’s by accident when I was up late at night browsing on my phone in bed to see what establishments were around us as we are still pretty new to the area. I first spotted Diamond Lake on Google map and then saw Schindy’s. When I saw that everyone was raving about the thin crust pizza, I wouldn’t shut up about it to my husband. We finally went Friday night as we’re up here at our cabin for the weekend from Chicago and we fell in love!!! Best of all, it was tavern cut…exactly the way I like it. Eric is SO kind and he’s such amazing human being. The entire staff was nothing but nice and we will certainly be returning again very soon!

This place is number. One!! I am a Pizza conasur,,,i eat pizza every Friday and this Pizza is one of my Favorite, I got the "Take and Bake" yep believe it or not and it work out great Better than.can believe,,Dumpster, and I believe Hunter,,,I will do be there Friday, in fact I can't Wait and might not,,,my mouth is watering and I have the munchies,,, and it's a great ride,,

1st time going. It took a bit before they came to the table with only 2 other tables occupied. After they took our drink and pizza order they got busy with several phone calls for to go orders. The pizza (German Ruben) was flippin awesome.

We ordered 2 different pizzas. They gave us one whole wrong kind of pizza. The other one was supposed to be 1/2 one kind and half different kind . They got one half wrong. New waitress. They gave us half off.

We just drove up to Schindy's and were delighted with the experience. The pizza was one of the best we have had in years. The atmosphere was genuine and friendly, authenticly real. We left feeling good about the time spent and made a commitment to return in the very near future. This place is awesome.

Yes, delicious pizza at a gas station!!! Stopped in on our way to Big rapids and sooo glad we did!This has to be the best pizza I've had in a very long time. The thin crust is baked perfectly and toppings are perfectly fresh and enough.Stop in on Monday where it's buy one get one half price! That sealed it for us getting two pizzas. That means a late night snack.Great food, friendly service with locals willing to chat and share their puppies!Full bar and a very extensive pizza menu. I have no idea what else they offer but the owner stopped by saying they are looking to add desserts...yes please!Prices may be a bit higher but honestly the quality is above par, so worth the bit extra. $56 for both of us, two pizzas, 3 beers and 1 local beer during happy hour.Parking is ok, might be hanky during summer months but again so worth it!Atmosphere is small, rustic and oh so friendly!STOP HERE and get the best pizza ever!!! I told hubby the next time I need gas I may have to drive here (an hour from our home!) for gas and a pizza!

Took a 3 hour drive to shindy's, saw them on the news, got to the place, talked about how we saw them on the news, ( loving pizza) it was burnt., and not filling. Sorry, it was not worth the drive. But... the staff was absolutely welcoming. Love that,..that was the best experience.

Very good thin crust pizza. We got the "Dumpster Diver" (essentially their supreme) and it was extremely good. Fresh ingredients. The stuffed garlic sticks were absolutely amazing.The pizzas are thin crust and their pizza sauce has a little bit of a bite to it, so if you are not a fan of thin crust pizza or prefer a sweeter sauced pizza, this might not be your ideal pizza, but me, my wife, and our 14 year old all loved their pizza.

My wife and I had pizza there tonight. The pizza was very good, all fresh toppings, mushrooms were awesome. The place was packed and the servers were a bit overwhelmed but, they still did fine. Again GREAT PIZZA!!!

It's out of the way and always worth the drive. The quaint outside speaks not of the Wonka-esk pizza heaven that awaits inside. It is the neighborhood hangout for anyone within a daylights worth of travel.
