The store itself is fine. It’s the pharmacy that is a HUGE issue. The pharmacist is a complete jerk. The technicians or whatever you want to call them never have any idea what they’re doing or let alone speak english. And they never have my prescriptions that my doctor had clearly sent over.I just waited 10 minutes in the drive-through line and then another 5 minutes at the window before anyone came to help me. Then they tell me they don’t have any prescriptions for me. And the ones I’m taking I have to take at certain times or my body gets screwed up. So I call my doctor to confirm that they had sent it. My doctor states that they had sent it over Friday and the pharmacy had confirmed they received it Friday night. Yet the pharmacy still claims to not have my medication!This is not the first time this has happened to me at this store. If there were somewhere better in South Lyon to take my prescriptions to I would but unfortunately there is not.

12/25/23: I’m sorry your team members were working on Christmas Day, but at same time I’m thankful you were open. I bought 2 cans of soup for a Christmas Day recipe, went to prep, realized I had bought the wrong flavor, zipped to downtown SL hoping something was open… Not only were you open, but you had Campbell’s cream of chicken soup in stock. Saved the recipe! Thank you!

The worst. Absolutely no idea of customer service. I had an appointment for Covid Vaccine and waited 50 minutes for it. The worst pharmacy I ever been to. They do not want to help you

You know what's infuriating? Waiting 50 minutes past your scheduled immunization time and then having another person get called back before you that arrived 20 minutes after you did. If you want to be forgotten, then this is your Walgreens. DO NOT GO HERE.

The pharmacy has improved substantially. It seems more efficient and it’s much easier to reach the pharmacy by phone. Seriously deserve a raise!

If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible heartless employees not all of them but 2 in particular. I had Covid and needed my asthma medication and it said drive through closed… so i stood there knocking at the window and they ignored me…but i didn’t want to get anyone sick she said come inside finally when she turned around and said to come inside and when I got to the door she locked it and said they were closing. She told me i’ll have to get it delivered and walked off. Nasty people. Anyways i look at delivery times and it says 2-3 days. Not to mention they always try to tell my insurance doesn’t cover my medicine and every month i have to pull up my payment history and argue with them. Brighton walgreens is worth the drive! Smart, kindhearted employees!!!

If I could give less I would. The pharmacy drops the ball repeatedly. My wife was diagnosed as diabetic last year she was sent home from the hospital with a scrip for insulin, and this place took several hours, being kind, to fill the scrip then missed half the order. Fast forward to July and to get a refill on insulin, they were out and did not know when they would have some. Walgreens in Novi jump through hoops to get it.The last straw was this pass New Years Eve my wife had surgery, and was released from the hospital with a scrip for pain medication. The hospital said the scrip was called in a couple of hours prior to her discharge, and it should be ready by the time we went there. I dropped off my wife, and waited about an hour then went only to be told "no they didn't have anything waiting for her" My wife called hospital and asked if they could have hospital pharmacy fill this scrip. I made a quick trip to the hospital and they were great, they could not fill the scrip till Walgreens South Lyon released the order, huh, they said they didn't have anything waiting ? Shocking! The hospital pharmacy, filled it super quick and looking at their cost of OTC (over the counter) medication they were dramatically less than Walgreens.I think, photos, and candy bars this place might be good otherwise I don't want to go here for anything at the pharmacy.

Pharmacy staff lacks basic communication/professionalism skills. Very poor customer service. You can forget trying to call them without being on hold forever. They rely on you to mediate any prior authorizations or verifications for medications.

Their pharmacy staff either doesn't care, or their NOT trained properly, or perhaps their lazy, b/c a family member of mine had medication phoned in by their Dr. TWICE from LAST week and its no where to be found. Several calls were made to resolve the issue a WEEK later! Try asking for a manager, they did not offer to give the name or their contact information.Sometimes, they just CLOSE their pharmacy midday, which is ridiculous. You will be told on a recording that its shut down until the next day. We're not in a 3rd world country. My advise is to NOT go to Walgreens. They have an attitude and clearly show that they do NOT care abt your well being. Meijers and CVS have been wonderful. Thus, they offer automatic refill, their friendly and helpful. Its frustrating when your loved one needs help and is disrespected and treated poorly. "WALGREENS" should disenfranchised this location. Im really upset how my family member was treated & DISRESPECTED. They were rude and thoughtless.No more Walgreens for any of my family/friends. I will be putting this on social media platforms. .

I have been shopping at this store for over 18 years. This is the second time now I have shown the cashier .... through their new procedures .... that I clipped the coupon I needed. For some reason, again, the manager would not honor it because she could see the coupon has been clipped but could not actually see the product I will never shop there again and I hope no one else does

Walgreens in South Lyon needs to be flagged to corporate. I booked an appointment for an immunization, received text alerts and emails confirming said appointment up until the appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, the blond woman working in the pharmacy (on 9/7/2022) told me I couldn't get the vaccine, because they had failed to thaw it. I drove from another county, spent an hour in the car to get to this appointment. I explained this to her, and asked her why nobody called to tell me. I received a lame reply, "We had some trouble with our phones today." (Anyone on the staff got a cell phone?) Not once did she apologize for the pharmacy putting me through this inconvenience. I understand that pharmacy's are stretched, but there's *no excuse* for stiffing customers who book appointments. And no excuse for not apologizing, it should be part of any employee's training, regardless of how they were raised.
