Never can get ahold of anybody. You will be on hold for 30 minutes and then they hang up.

The pharmacy is absolutely terrible. Had my prescription sent here since my last Walgreens pharmacy closed. 4 days after having my prescription sent there I called for an updated since I had not heard anything or gotten a text. The tech asks over the phone if I changed my insurance since they didn't have it. I told her I'd didn't make any changes. She then asked me for the name of my insurance, I gave it to her, and she said well I need all your info before I am able to order your prescription. I did not have my card in-front of me, so I asked her if she could just pull over my info from the other Walgreens since they share info. She responded with "we share all our info" I said "exactly so it should be there right" her answer was "if it was there it would already transferred, since I can't see it it's not there". I didn't want to debate the issue anymore so I asked if she could just order it and and when I go into pick it up I can give you my insurance info when I pay for it. She told me "we can't order any prescriptions until we have your insurance". I told her that did make that much sense since people who are uninsured are still able to get medications and pay out of pocket and use GoodRX or something similar. She said that's not true and it's just the way it is. I then asked her if this was in fact the case, why they didn't notify me of the issue 4 days ago when they got my script and I had to call to find out my meds still hadn't been ordered due to them loosing my insurance info. She answered with "let me transfer you to a pharmacist". Within 1 minute of talking to the pharmacist she was able to pull my insurance info from the other Walgreens and then order my meds since they were out of stock. Absolute horrific experience, if my life depended on my meds I would be dead. They need to get employees that actually know what they are talking about and how to use their own system. Its almost like they hire people to lie and create fake excuses hoping someone doesn't call them out on their lies and just stall patients until they actually can do their job. A complete liability, and so frustrating when so many meds are on back order and take weeks to get filled anyways. If the dollar tree had a pharmacy, they'd probably deliver better service.

This particular Walgreen's took a very long time to get medication to the point people began overwhelming the area solely dedicated for Covid Vaccination. The parking is fairly easy and one doesn't have to pay anything. Perhaps to save money (or help the environment) the lighting in parts of the store were very dim. When I came home I did notice they did a good job regarding updates on the booster and make it easy when I need another. The line at the pharmacy was very long but the front register near the entrance didn't have a l9ng line.

This is such a tricky review, because I've used this Walgreens pharmacy for years. I dread going, but only because of the other customers. Impatience and rudeness does not suit anyone well. With that said, this pharmacy definitely can be really hard to get in and out of, drive through as well, even if you've gotten a text that you have something for pickup. I think a lot of it has to do with it being in such an accessible and popular location. I don't think it reflects on the pharmacists or other staff. The location itself drives me crazy as it's as far north I normally travel on Woodward, so exiting with a southbound destination in mind always feels like chalk scraping on a chalkboard. I think it's a good place. My medications i pick up are always available and ready, it's the wait at certain times of day. It's a hassle, but so is being alive lol. Please take that to heart, being alive is a hassle and you're at a pharmacy. The pharmacy staff and main door checkout staff are nothing but lovely, it's the other assholes in line that can be annoying above and beyond a wait time.I do think that this Walgreens pharmacy is busier than most. but I still put up with it because the Walgreens staff is great and the location works. Bring a book or something, and stop expecting immediate gratification wherever you go.

I had the pleasure of meeting an angry red headed obese grinch this evening with CRAZY eyes. This lazy, rude, slob with poor hygiene working the photo counter clearly hates his job and should find something that makes him happy. Life is too short to be an angry grinch with bad hair. I have never encountered such disrespect. I went in after receiving an email saying that my picture order was ready and he was confrontational, disrespectful was not making eye contact with me and couldn't tell if he was talking to me or someone behind me. The special xmas gift i wanted to give someone tomorrow will not be ready in time for xmas after i was informed that it would be ready via email. Its sickening, dissapointing and sad at the same time that people like him are allowed to work in customer service. I DO NOT recommend using this walgreens photo center on woodward/coolidge.

I recently visited the Walgreens on Woodward and Coolidge in Royal Oak. I thought I could receive a replacement vaccination card as mine was mistakenly placed in the washing machine. The pharmacist I had the misfortune to deal with was dismissive, rude and had the audacity to say I have to save my cards for "My customers". Maybe he felt that because I'm African American I wasn't one of "His customers" I not only live in Royal Oak but received both of my vaccinations from Walgreens, what is it that makes me not one of "His customers" With these two things being true it is obvious why he refused to treat me like part of his customer base but like the "N word" he tried to put in his place.

I've been going to this Walgreens since I moved out here in December. They recently hired someone new as I had never seen him before until a month or so ago. The first time I interacted with him, he seemed pretty tense but nothing too concerning. I heard him yelling answers at customers when they asked questions, but thought he was just frustrated as each customer couldn't hear him well and he had to repeat himself. Then last night at around 9 PM (9/15), I went in just to look for some skincare products when I saw he was working again at the checkout counter. Every single customer that came in was treated horribly by him. He yelled, answered rudely, acted so unprofessionally, and WOW was it obvious he hated his job. I was so uncomfortable with how he was speaking to every customer that i decided not to purchase the products in my hands so that i would not have to deal with him myself. At one point I thought about approaching him and calling him out for it, but thought better not. I honestly couldn't believe his tone and attitude with everyone. Not a single customer was rude or asking ridiculous questions, yet this guy acted as if he couldn't care less about each one and that everyone was annoying him and he wanted nothing to do with customers. I understand that it is tense times right now...but my God this was next level. Someone like this should not be working with customers as it really makes this location look horrible. I guarantee most people that have encountered this man will not be back to this location. Please consider, if anything, moving this man to the back or somehow limiting his interactions with people. Absolutely unreal. No one should feel uncomfortable like this just to simply go into a Walgreens and get things they need.
