I just started visiting Namaste Yoga a few months ago, but I've been going once a week pretty consistently. I love the new location on Rochester Road in Royal Oak. Not only is it very close to my home, but there is ample free parking available which wasn't available when they were located on Troy Street in downtown Royal Oak. I usually attend the 8am Saturday morning class with Samantha. She is awesome. I'm very much a beginner in my yoga practice, and she does a phenomenal job in making me feel comfortable during our session. She consistently reminds her class that yoga is about function, not form. Her voice is very soothing, so it's very easy for me to relax and fall into my practice. I highly recommend taking one of her classes. I've always been hesitant about trying a new studio, or a new instructor, but not anymore. I've found my studio in Namaste and my instructor in Samantha! Thanks guys! I'm a huge fan. :-)

I'm a teacher at Namaste but I'm also a student. I began practicing at Namaste over 12 years ago and consider it my yoga home. I felt drawn to the studio for the building's historic charm and big, oversized windows. I returned for the array of kind and generous teachers and staff, all as welcoming as the next. I remember wanting to study yoga but didn't know where to start or felt like I didn't belong at certain studios. When you come in, you'll just know it's right.

Namaste is an authentic, community-centered, and inclusive yoga studio. They intentionally honor the lineage of yoga and focus on all 8 limbs of yoga, not just the asana/physical practice. Each teacher brings their own unique experience and energy to the space, creating a variety of heart-centered and engaging classes for all levels. Thank you, Namaste!

Namaste is the best. I struggled with Yoga until I found Namaste and now I'm hooked. This studio is for all levels, ages, body types. The instructors are inviting and enlightening. I highly recommend trying Namaste!

This place is really great. The energy, the decor, the space itself just oozes welcomeness and earthiness. As a yogi who hasn't practiced in a while I felt welcomed right away and loved the Hatha class I attended with Lauren. The attendees were all "regulars", but i was not made to feel excluded, in fact the opposite. The studio itself is a bright ly colored with Windows on three sides. kind so there is lots of natural light and very high ceilings. It seems like most yoga studios are these tiny little one suite deals where you are shoulder to shoulder with people and this is not the case here. I'm sure if a lot of people showed up it would be crowded but the class I attended had about 10 people and we had all plenty of room with lots of natural light and lots of air flow. The front desk person was very knowledgeable and helpful and had a very pleasant demeanor. I think her name was Carrie she helped me get my class started and walked me through the difficulty of their online app, which is kind of tricky. The parking is also a little tricky... it's directly behind the building but it doesn't look like a parking lot so you drive around seeing all these private parking places and hope that you don't get towed, when in fact you can park directly behind the building. Walk-ins were $18 and I went ahead and signed up for unlimited yoga for a month for $49. That was a new student special and the $18 went towards the $49 so I really only paid 31 extra dollars for a month of unlimited yoga. They have classes in studio and virtual and I'm looking forward to all the different types of classes they offer. They have yin, Hatha vinyasa and a few other specific ones for better backs or gentle yoga. This did not feel like a super trendy or high stuffy yoga studio it was very down to earth and it's clear all ages and sizes are welcome. I'm really glad I found this place. Can't wait to go back.

Open for live classes or you can attend through zoom. I did a live class this morning with Barb and it was amazing to be back in the studio. They are sanitizing, and staying safe with masks, social distance mat indicators are taped to the floor, hand sanitizer, disinfecting the studio regularly. I highly recommend this studio

I want to leave the best review possible because I only went to this place once and although it wasn’t for me, it might be what other people want.

Namaste Yoga is the real deal in the sea of hot/pop/workout/western yoga. Classes are designed and taught to help you bring your attention inward and become more aware of your inner self. This is a challenge for most of us, as we rush around, perpetually busy, always thinking ahead. Namaste is an oasis from that, and you always feel better than when you came in. Classes range from; gentle hatha, yin, vinyasa, restorative to better backs and slow flow. I recommend this studio to anyone who is wanting to deepen their practice and awareness.

I am recovering from a fractured 5th metatarsal surgery (pin in my foot) and wanted to ease back into yoga as well as other physical activity. I wanted to start with gentle yoga classes. I bought an unlimited pass for a month. Everyone at Namaste Yoga is very nice and welcoming, including other students. I told the instructors about my injury and they were very accommodating. They have everything you could possibly need to adjust your postures like blocks, folded blankets, mats, etc.. I have never done another type of yoga except hot/Bikram yoga, so this was a nice change. It's not as challenging but the challenges are there in a different way. They have a very, very tiny parking lot. The driveway is easy to miss since it's very narrow on the left side of the building. There are maybe 6 spots? If you get there early enough, you might be able to snag a spot, otherwise street parking is your best bet. I'm so glad I tried them out! I will keep going even after my pass is done.

Namaste Yoga Studio is a gem in the midst of lots of studios to choose from! I'm new to the area and have been warmly welcomed into this friendly community. I like a slower, more mindful practice that allows me to shift gears from the busy world. The classes are assessable to all levels and the instructors give guidance for all abilities. I can't recommend this studio enough!
