Every time I come here, I have a problem with the same guy. From previous reviews I’m guessing he’s a manager and nothing has been done about his unprofessionalism. Previously returned a rental and was told the tank was not full and I would be charged for that. (picture of the gas below) I honestly felt like he was trying to give me a hard time, but I didn’t mention it and I was in a rush so I told them go ahead.A few days ago, I make a reservation and go to pick up the car, the same guy is helping me and asked for additional information about my employment. I thought that was weird because I’ve rented from Avis locations twice and had never been asked. No big deal, I call my manager at the counter to get the information he needed to be sent over. I say to him, one second please and I go to sit down. As I walked to sit down, he walked to the door, opened it and said “it’s a nice day outside, we’re closed.” There were other customers who came in after me being serviced by another employee still inside. Granted I did come 15 minutes before closing not thinking it would take more than 10 minutes to pick up the car and go.I stated that he just heard me trying to get the information he needed he cut me off before I could finish and says I don’t need anything, you can get out or I’ll call the police. He then proceeded to walk to the back and call the police on me. I honestly felt this was a racial issue (I hate to go there) he was soooo disrespectful and honestly made me feel less of a human let alone a paying customer. I was never anything less than professional with him, never difficult or rude. This situation has really taken a toll on my mental health and emotional well being.

Hidden Fees, and poor customer service. I will stick with Enterprise.

The service was great that not my issue, my issue was I pick a car for the trunk space. When I arrived to get my car they gave me a little suv with no trunk space.

The F-150 I rented from here had a number of issues that cropped up during my drive. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the seats were stained and filthy, the front tires were bald around the edges due to very poor alignment and leaked, the rear differential made an alarmingly loud whining noise, and one of the left turn signals was burnt out. Worst of all, it had expired license plates. This truck was in no state to be rented. Most of these issues were not readily apparent when I picked up the truck but became clear as I drove on the highway towards Columbus and as I was returning the truck that day I pressed on.

Made reservation’s online, when I get to the location the 2 guys at the counter tell me they don’t have the car that I reserved online and that the online process doesn’t coordinate with what they have in stock. Then he tells me they only have pick up trucks and SUVs in stock in which is more expensive and they pretty much know your gonna accept it because you need a vehicle to rent since your already there. When I return the vehicle 3 minutes late, he locks the doors and tell me his computer is shut down for the day and I have to keep the vehicle for another day even tho there were people in there still being serviced! I know they do this on purpose to make more money from people…He was very rude and I will never rent from this location again!!

Absolutely wonderful experience. A delayed-to-cancelled flight had me staying at a friend's place in Royal Oak, and rather than take a 2-stop trip back to Maryland, I called this location and asked if there was anything available for a one-way trip. I was told yes, and within minutes of arriving, I was getting in a vehicle to drive home. The service and kindness here are phenomenal.

I love this place. I’ve went to several rental places in the past. Some ok some bad, but this place is always meeting my expectations for what I want. They have good prices, very accessible, very accommodating, fast, and have good customer service. My company changed their travel policies and I’m glad they were still letting me work with this location because it’s hard to find a rental service that provides the same qualities.

As you can see from the other reviews, this location is NOT the best. I’m not even sure how they still allow the manager to remain the same seeing as he has several complaints saying how rude he is. I rented a vehicle for initially a week and ended up extending it to 1 month. After speaking with corporate customer service, I was set up to do a mini lease and planned on keeping the car for a year. Since a month had already passed, it was time to take the vehicle in to be maintenance and in turn I would receive another vehicle until my initial one was done being serviced. I got off of work close to their closing time, I called ahead of time to let them know that I was on my way and I was going to stop at the gas station by the office to fill up. I pulled in, went ie to swap vehicles. The manager refused to honor mini lease and in turn closed my current agreement, took the keys, asked me to leave (now they’retechnically closed) and told me to call customer service. When I called customer service, the representative didn’t understand as to why he wouldn’t give me another vehicle. Then on top of that I was charged for gas even though I had just filled up the tank and had the receipt to prove it. I stated that to the corporate customer service rep and she advised me to go to another location to start the mini lease, she even helped set me up. The next day when I went to pick up my new rental car, I was told that the manager at the Royal oak location put me on the DO NOT RENT list, without any reasoning!!

Would be rating 0 stars but to leave a review I had to rate at least 1. We booked months ahead and upon arriving, all the agreements were wanting to be changed to cost us MORE MONEY and the customer service was unprofessional and terrible. IF YOU WANT A CAR RENTAL, stick with HERTZ!

1 hour late returning my 1 day rental and I was unknowingly charged a full 2nd day after I turned the car in and received the receipt... and this was after I was sent to two different Avis to fulfill my rental reservation the previous day. The agent could have been upfront with informing me I would have to pay a full qnd day for the 1 hour and I would have kept the rental for the full 24 hours since I had to pay the 2nd day. First and last time going to this Avis, should have been up front and gave me the option to keep the rental the full day.

Rental was ok I've been waiting for 2 weeks for my deposit still haven't received it everytime I call I get the run around then I was transferred over to customer service twice an was hung up on!!!!!Thanks but no thanks I'll never do business here ever in life notlr refer my worst enemy ??????????????
