The eye showroom staff were not welcoming. My bf clearly explained he was looking for the $69 deal that was in place. When it came time to pick frames, which he did from the appropriate section, the total was $140. Had we not questioned it the lady wouldn't have explained, which seemed to be a bother for her to do her job anyway. Once he picks up his glasses, we will not be returning.

America's worst customer experience! Be prepared to fight with everyone just to get a simple contact eye exam. Don't go during lunch either or they won't write your prescription! Just don't go here. Staff are rude and have major attitude problems.

Picked out a "2 for 111.00" frame. asked to get one pair as sunglasses. was told it adds 70$ to the cost. Ok. Should be 181.00 plus tax, right? Wrong. 281 was my final bill. When i asked them to explain it, because the receipt i had was so vague, it still made no sense. The best i could understand was that the sunglasses pair had to also have some sort of lens coating for them to be able to do the tinting, but no one told me about that. When i made it clear that the pricing still made no sense, she just handed me my receipt back and walked away. Apparently, they didn't care that i was not satisfied with their answer. just a side note, after my eye exam, i called a friend and told him to go here for glasses, because the optometrist was so great. But after this pricing shenanigan, i called him back and told him to NOT go here. Will not be going back to this establishment.

Yeah.... if you need your frames adjusted, HIGHLY recommend that you go to another location or business all together...

It has been a couple years since I have been to this facility but the bad experience I had kept me away from all optical departments until recently. When you buy their glasses they are so nice. “If you have any problems just come back and we will make it right”. I bought progressives and went back several times because they were never right. Staff were irritated and made me feel like there was something wrong with ME for not being able to see out of them. I finally gave up and threw away a pair of glasses I spent a lot of money on. I recently went to Costco (2 years later) and my glasses were perfect from the first time I put them on. Terrible experience. Maybe better now but I would recommend staying away

I always love coming here. Been coming to this specific Americas Best on Woodward for YEARS. They're always so friendly and wonderful. On Christmas I stupidly tried to tighten/adjust my glasses myself. The screw popped out and I could not fix myself. Today I went up there to have them fix and not only were they all so friendly and wonderful... they also fixed my glasses within 5 mins I was in and out super quick. Everything went great and they're taking covid-19 proper precautions and everything. It was really a great experience. Thank you!!

If only there was a way to give negative stars! To echo the majority of the yelp posters, I was shocked at how absolutely awful my experience was at this establishment. The customer service is horrendous. The employees are rude, combative, and downright disrespectful. Even the optometrist has an attitude. I wish I would have read the yelp reviews before I took a chance on this place, but please, take this to heart.. do not waste your time, energy, and certainly not your money. There are much better places in the area!

Dropped in to pick up my contact lens, early afternoon, on a Saturday. Unfortunately, under staffed, however, the attractive african american lady ( red shoes) was extremely professional, and did a great job...!!

Incredible experience! Front desk staff, tech who did my initial exam- outstanding and the doctor was terrific! Insurance issue which they corrected. Truly a great visit!

Apparently I have to give a star to post my Horrific experience.... The Manager is Rude and Disrespectful and her staff follows along the same lines. They Can't write a prescription out Correctly and that was not Once but Twice! Make sure that you have Plenty of time to Wait because the ONLY person that understands their job was the Optometrist!!!!!!

Very disappointed, I usually visit the Van Dyke location which is wonderful. I switched because this one is closer to my house. My first appointment was for myself. I arrived 15 mins early and waited over 90 mins. Only one of my two pairs of glasses are have the correct prescription. My contacts have been on back order for two months so far.I made a second appointment for my daughter, upon arriving we were informed we were 10 mins late?? I am certain we were on time; not only did I write down the time during the phone call, I called two days later to confirm the time a second time. The associate than informed us being 10 mins late caused three people to now be ahead of us and we would be waiting over an hour. That’s bs!! They are obviously double booking appointments with absolutely no respect for customers time.

They gave me the wrong prescription twice. After the first time i went in to get it redone because it was obviously done wrong and they told me i was fine.My grandmother got the wrong glasses 2 times in a row. She wont go back here.Just left pearl vision in hamtram and was told my perscription was off and I now have great vision!DO NOT GO HERE. They have no idea what theyre doing.

I made an appointment for 11:15 am and wasn't even called to be notified that they were over an hour behind on their appointments. Extremely unprofessional. The receptionist then lied about there only being 2 people ahead of me when there were 3. Extremely unprofessional and absolutely not okay.They'll cancel an appointment if you're late but if they're late to not even inform you.
