Pitbull parents, do not take your dog here. My dog has never been to a daycare before and I was referred here so i gave it a shot. I made it very clear that this was my dogs first time in daycare in my reservation form. I called before dropping him off to make sure they knew it was his first day and mentioned it again when i dropped him off. No one ever walked me through how the day would go, explained the process or anything to me. They took the leash from me and said “great, see you later”. They also did not tell me that my dog would be treated differently because he was a pitbull. I noticed on the cameras that he had been locked in his kennel for multiple hours without being let out at all, which is when i decided to call and check to make sure everything was okay. I was told that he was shy but he was doing really great. When i asked if he would be interacting with other dogs today i was told no because he is a pitbull. My dog is incredibly sweet and should not be met with the assumption that he is anything but that just because of his breed. This is absolutely infuriating to hear. I watched the cameras and saw my poor boy sitting in the kennel, scared, and only one time did someone actually check on him. I should have been walked through how the day would go with him ESPECIALLY since they treated him differently because of his breed. Instead i was given zero information at drop off and when i picked him up they didn’t even tell me how he did (not that there was much to report since they kept him locked in a cage all day).

My dog LOVES AAPR. When it's time to get in the car, I swear she knows where we're going. Every person I've encountered genuinely cares about the dogs. They have lots of activities your pets can participate in while you're away so you have the comfort of knowing your furry family won't be sad while you're gone. It's great to know that my dog is in such a safe, healthy, and happy environment when I'm away (even if she isn't missing me as much as I'm missing her)!

Boarded my pup here and they took great care of him. I needed a boarding facility at short notice (3 days before), and they worked with me to find my pup a spot. I got photo updates and my pup came home safe and calm. Clearly he was cared for well! Highly recommend this boarding facility, the staff is also very nice and professional!

This place is absolutely horrible. I wouldn't ever recommend this place to anyone. As many dog owners can agree, your dog is like your child and whenever your dog is treated poorly it absolutely breaks your heart. I've brought my dog in for boarding once prior to this experience and no issues. This time around I boarded my dog for 4 days. I come to pick him up and he is matted on his butt all sticky and wreaks of urine, not to mention his paws were bright red and irritated. They forgot to pack my allergy meds for my return bag therefore making me even more worried he wasn't even receiving them. The way they treated him was absolutely horrible. I have no idea how long he has been sitting in his own urine since they "take him for walks each day." Well if that's the case and you see him matted and smelling like urine all dirty from possibly peeing in his kennel why not clean him? Also, he acted as if he hadn't eaten all weekend. I know how my dog is and this was off. Not to mention, I believe he contracted Giardia from this location since I do not take him around other dogs or public places. I'm absolutely appalled. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG. POOR SERVICE AND EMPLOYEES.

I boarded our dog here several times and he always loved it!! The only issue I ever had was that I sent him with the exact number of pills he should have received for his medicine and unfortunately when I picked him up they had not all been given. He also was not given his dinner one of the nights. As he only eats once a day this was really upsetting. However, that only happened one of the many times he was boarded so I would continue to recommend this place for day care and boarding because overall the staff is caring and I realize mistakes do happen. It's a nice perk to be able to see our pup on the video camera system.

They are a great kennel in the Royal Oak area. Very helpful when you call, can online book and my dog always come back ready to rest - which I know means she got great exercise and social time!!

My heart is absolutely broken after this last experience-- not just because of what happened to my dog, but also because of how they behaved in response to their lack of care. I understand that not everything goes perfectly at all times and that sometimes mistakes are made. But when you make a mistake, the worst possible reaction is to be defensive and unapologetic. After spending several thousands of dollars and leaving our dog here multiple times, I really thought we would be treated better when they messed up, and allowed my dog to become horribly matted and stained during his last stay. Their solution was to shave him bald, offer no apology, and try to make it seem like it was our fault (which, of course, was not possible, since we dropped him off in normal condition). We had noticed small problems several times, like his feet had strange red stains, they returned him with other dogs' toys, collars, and leashes, failed to bathe and brush him even when requested, and other things like that. But even after that, I really didn't expect that they would exhibit a total lack of care and concern, and return my dog in such deplorable condition. In short--don't expect that you will be treated with any sort of care when they make mistakes. I now have serious questions about what is going on with my dog, who can't speak up, if they treat me like this after being a loyal customer.

Loved this boarding school, they are very nice and I think my dog has a blast there, the only thing I didn't like is that when we got the dog, they sprayed him with perfume or something that's made him smell like perfume and made out allergies go off.

All American is the best!! They go above and beyond for our pup Oreo and are always so friendly when you come in. They give progress reports every time you pick up your dog and let you know who their friends are and everything. If you’re looking for a clean, caring, and overall fun place to take your dog, go here!

Id love to have spent the beautiful day at the park with ***** (my 4 year old Great ***** for national Pet Day, but instead hes alone, attempting to recover from a surgery, fighting for his life because of the gross negligence of All American Pet Resort Royal Oak. My wife and I picked him up last night, later than they normally allow because I hate having him there any longer than needed. We were not greeted by the energetic happy to see us dog that ***** is all the time. Instead, we were greeted by a dog that looked like he hadnt eaten anything or drank anything for his entire 4 day stay. When we had to ask for the food we sent him with back, they gave us what looked like an untouched bag. We gave them exactly enough bones for 2 per day - and requested he be given two per day, we received 5.5-6 bones of the total 8 we gave them. Had we not pushed to pick him up even though it was past the time pick *** were allowed, he would have died, alone, last night.

Cooper loves his days at All AmericanPet Resort. I've never before had a dog that pulls to get into the door. His days there tire him out as he plays with all his friends. We love All American Pet Resort and the staff that keeps an eye on Cooper.

He was placed with another dog in the suite without informing us, he was basically sitting in his suite all morning, we paid for the camera and they didn't even notify us which suite he was in. When we picked him up he had to go to the bathroom so bad as If he was never let out all morning. Once we got home 10 mins later he took 4 poops again as If he was never let out the whole time. We were reluctant to take him there in the first place because another friend had the same issue but was hoping that wasn't a common thing. Lastly, we weren't provided any feedback or summary of his one night stay. (Example was he even feed?) Overall would never go back.

We have had such a great experience bringing our doggo here for daycare and boarding. Our boy is just under 2 and they have been so understanding and helpful of his hyper personality and know that he’s the biggest lover boy. When we leave town and board him, we asked for him to be put in a room that we could clearly see him and they did. We had a flight delay and they were super accommodating and helpful. We LOVE bringing Lando here and he LOVES coming here. A HUGE thank you to all the staff involved in taking care of our sweet boy, we appreciate you more than words could express!

I hate leaving bad reviews but I could not let this go.I took my dog to AAPR yesterday for the first time. He spent about 14 hours there (I work long shifts).I watched the cameras from 8 am to 9pm and saw that he was in his suite 99% of the time. He was only taken out about 3 times (for short intervals). I did not see him eat, or play (and I know he was hungry because he ate two plates the second he came home).I also saw care takers walk past him without even looking at him or smiling (while he waited on his hind legs for someone to say hi to him).I watched the whole facility on the camera and saw that all of the dogs were in their suites for 99% of the time. I barely saw any dogs out to play and did not see any outside. This is fine if you just want a place to put your dog. But I was really expecting him (and all of the other dogs) to be out socializing or interacting more.I did e-mail AAPR to let them know my concerns and they told me my dog was let out and with the care takers "multiple times." The issue I have is that I watched the cameras all day and saw otherwise with my own eyes. They let me know this was not an all day play facility which is fine- but I did not expect him, or the other dogs, to be ignored and in their suite all day.I highly suggest others watch the cameras all day to see the care their dog is getting.
