Charging me more than some of my coworkers that are staying there.. Room is ok, nothing remarkable about it.. it was clean which was great.. one lamp was broken, and the tub/shower dripped alot.. they fixed the lamp and the drip, but then the shower didn't work at all, and the tub/shower water gets just barely warm, even though the kitchen and bathroom sinks get hot...Noteworthy details: The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly.. they are very polite and courteous..

Flight was the next day, so we chose this hotel. There were yellow stains on the blankets and brown stains on the towels??? Other issues weren't as big a deal (leaking faucets, loud vent fans, etc) but having stains on sheets and towels is disgusting.

I stay here off and on for work and I love it here, I won't go anywhere else!! The staff is beyond friendly Kenya is beyond amazing and will make sure everything is tooken care of correctly. The house keeper Linda is so polite and charming and puts a smile on her every day and she makes sure everything is clean to a ten. Ken the maintenance man is beyond good people I had a light go out and he literally was there in seven minutes with great conversation. Carlos, he works at night and he is a very kind young man. I honestly rate the hotel a ten . Even the other guests are very nice people and is animal friendly which is a plus, also is a elevator for us old folks.

Carpet is filthy. Feet are black from walking in it.Toilet is literally spraying water out the top and bottom of the tank. A LOT of water! It’s 2:30 in the morning! I called to the front desk and the gentleman who answered said he didn’t really know what he could do but would send up some towels. No towels arrived.

Hats off to Kenya, manager of Extended Stay America Hotel in Romulus, Michigan.Kenya goes out of her way to make sure all of her guests are comfortable & have what they need. Kenya helped us get all of the things we needed for our kitchen. She is especially accommodating to guests that are handicapped, or who have special needs of any kind. Kenya goes above & beyond her regular duties & job description. This hotel is very fortunate to have such a hard-working & dedicated employee.

Linda is the most polite outgoing beautiful house keeper!!! She definitely keeps my room clean and stocked with Fresh supplies. If you’re not at the room she will leave the fresh items by. The door. She keeps the hallway very nice and clean and she’s also a great person always saying hi with her beautiful smile!! She definitely is a hard worker and that I ❤️ love! Also, the maintenance man KEN IS SO KIND AND GETS THE JOB DONE RIGHT WHEN YOU ASK. These two people always have a smile on their face and always are working!!!!❤️ I would make their own separate post because they both deserve it, but it wouldn’t let me❤️Rooms: Very clean thanks to housekeeper s

I have been staying at the ESA for several months now and I have encountered friendly staff. Linda is exceptional with her outstanding smile and personality. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. Matt goes out of his way to make sure he speak and if there is anything that you need he will try his best to get it for you . Shana is outstanding her smile and personality is contagious . Kenya the mgr is always helpful and very dedicated to her job. The hotel overall is a comfortable place to stay fro an extended period, the room are good . I love that they have the kitchenette . I do which they provided ovens but maybe that is something in the future. The location of the ESA is very convenient and it right off the freeway . Several restaurants to choose from. My overall experience so far had wonderful.

coming from a current guest. i have been here since the 1st & planned on extending my reservation past the 14th when it's up but will be finding somewhere else to go. if u don't have pets, go anywhere else, there's a string of around 10 hotels & motels on the samelittle street leading up to this place to choosefrom. if u have pets to worry about, make this ur very last option.for starters u get there & everywhere but the lobby smells like cigarettes & animal urine. check in time is 3pm only, if u call days ahead of time & ask to plan a check in any earlier they tell u absolutely not. there is a skeleton from a dead dog (or similar animal) in the ditch behind the building, right by the only big patch of grass they leave for u to take ur dog out. a lot of the guests that stay here are also trash, there's a guy i watch sell drugs curbside to go style all day & night in the parking lot, a drunk woman that has a dog reactive dog way too strong for her own good dragging her around, & getting within a foot of my also dog reactive dog's face. someof the staff is okay & some not, one of the male staff the other day asked me in the elevator if i was staying in my room alone & none of the hallways or stairwells have cameras so that was a little unsettling. our room key NEVER works, keeping count i'm on key number 10 in 11 days (two of those days shouldn't even count bc we didn't use our keys the first day or at all yet so far today).then the cherry on top! yesterday i go to the front desk to ask for a new keycard, AGAIN. the lady comes out asks can i help u & i say yes i need a new key again & obviously i'm annoyed. she asks what the problem is & i tell her, well poor lady didn't like the tone of my voice, i told her i didn't like paying $700+ a week to never be able to get into my room. i did not cuss at this 50+ year old woman, i didn't call her names nor belittle her, but she threatened to kick me out by the following day, when i expressed how ridiculous that sounds, she told me i had 10 minutes to get my stuff & leave or she would call the cops (bc she didn't like my attitude LMFAO). during this whole three minute interaction i had asked for a key over seven times & she would not give me one until she had gotten her last word in.& in conclusion, just go somewhere else.

If I could give less stars I would and wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. It started off fine and normal until 2 day in we've had to go to the front desk every single day for a new key because our door won't work. Sometimes twice a day and on the 10th+ key request we were slightly annoyed but not rude and the lady at the front desk said she was kicking us out because we were annoyed and she started being extremely rude and not letting us talk so we just walked back up to our room and have still yet to be talked to by anybody. We're currently staying here until our house is ready to move into and she tried to kick us out because she was having a bad day. In the middle of us trying to get into our room so we could feed our dog and eat dinner. Needless to say dinner was ruined and now we're looking for somewhere else to stay because we refuse to be treated like that ever again. The room also smelled like animal urine on our move in day so we have a wax melter running 24/7 to hide the smell and every morning the hallways smell like a smoking section. Very displeased.

Terrible…We booked a room, paid, and even confirmed that we could check in late…traveled 9 hours and when we arrived they cancelled our room saying we did not check in before the allotted time even though we explicitly told them and asked if this would happen and they assured us that it would not. Garbage place and the front desk dude reeked of weed…go somewhere else and avoid this place….

The room was very dusty TV would not work the bathroom was okay could have been better the smoke alarm went off at 12:00 and it went on on and on when there was no fire and we question about it she said someone pulled the alarm I would say it is a place to stay if you have nowhere else to go other than that one star for me. They need to train the housekeeper to start cleaning from the top to the bottom pull bed out vacuum under bed put bed back in place that is why they get a one-star from me

The front desk person wasn't working and then showed up 20 to 40 minutes later to let 4 groups of people into there rooms at 11:30pm. After 12 hours stuck at a airport because of cancelations this was the last thing we needed.

Check in took longer than average. The elevator sounds like it needs some preventative maintenance. 2nd floor room door opened first try. Then a musty smell hit me. It's not quite nasty but it is gross. The smell wasn't from the bathroom, wasn't from the kitchen, it was getting pumped out of the air conditioner. Thank goodness the windows open to try and air out the room but there is no quality rest here as the highway, railroad tracks and the airport are louder than the rooms around me. If you need to relax its only slightly better than resting in your vehicle. If you need to sleep, pick a different place because it's too loud.
