I went into the Post Office today seeking help to track a package. I got an eBay email about the carrier attempting to deliver a package to a family member's address, and that it was unsuccessful. I went in and heard other customers in line having the same issue, and the person at the counter said these were likely scams and encouraged us to not give our money to these companies contacting us. The other customer and I were trying to solve the issue individually with the person at the counter, but she dismissed our issues and asked us to leave Post It notes with more detailed information. I don't understand why this was such a difficult interaction, and I'm still wondering where my expensive package went... (It is not a scam-transaction.)

It’s not an actual post office, they have an outgoing mailbox. They do sale books of stamps as well if you need it. They also handle some small packages. ?

Very pleasant and helpfull staff. I send 100s of packages a year through this office and have never had an issue.

No one works here (yes, I was in during business hours- 11am on a non holiday monday) so you can't mail packages here. Pretty useless as anything else can be dropped in a street box.

Had a package delivered last night, I broke my key off in the mailbox, I went and told the post office and less than an hour later they came and opened the box, I have my package now, great customer service!

Richmond Post Office is fantastic! I had to renew my passport recently, and Jackie - despite being alone that - day was able to handle my appointment, as well as wait on customers with regular post office business with a courteous and professional manner. I was done with my passport application and sent off in less than 20 minutes!

Staff is usually very nice but if you use the mail-in for stamps more than likely you'll never get them. This makes me wonder how much other mail goes missing from this office.

Had to renew passport with old expired one in hand went in with no appointment at 2:00 pm on a Friday. The woman at the counter was exceptional. Even with the busy counter she was able to juggle it! Then another worker returned from break to take care of a 2 pm appointment passport for a family of 4. I was photographed and finished paper work returning to line and was out the door by 2:25 pm. Would drive the extra miles for the polite exceptional service. Thank you Richmond post office ladies. You rock.
