“Chris was super helpful in getting me the right envelope, describing the price system and ensuring the right package went to the right location. Appreciate his patience and support during such a busy Saturday. He managed the long line with ease. Thank you so much team, you made this my go to USPS!!”
“I've been coming here on and off since I started my job that's about a mile from this post office. We use it a lot because we send stuff out certified and use a few other services like other human beings that go to the post office. For starters, the place is almost always clean and well stocked. It's not the biggest or baddest post office, but this one seems to have it together, considering what it is. The lines are never terribly long and the ladies here that wait on me are quick and efficient. Recently, they had their drive up mail box replaced. It was rusty and in terrible shape. I hated using it, and am glad to see a new one on the curb. There is a parking lot here, but its tight and your better off parking on the curb. Making a left out of here can be downright dangerous at times because the stoplight is always on blinking red and the cars parked on the street block your view of people coming at you. There is a few downsides to this place but I will only discuss the one big one that has only caused me grief once. They do not accept packages here for whatever reason, and send you to the main post office off Fenkel. I have no idea why this is. I've seen a few patrons get a little crazy over it and it wasn't pretty. I've only been to the Fenkel location once, and it's a super nice updated facility, about 3 miles away. Overall, it's an alright place and the staff is super friendly and nice. Will continue to return here as long as I work on this side of town.”
“i love that this one is open until 10pm most nights! every experience I've had here has been lovely, from just dropping a package to the clerks helping me repackage stuff and advising me on label placement etc to getting my passport squared away. so helpful! (been going here since 2012!)”
“I was lucky enough to get Paulette at the counter today. I was express mailing a passport application. She was very knowledgeable about the process and I was on my way in 10 minutes. She never lost her patience; a real cool cucumber! Thanks so much!”
“I called this post office today desperately trying to correct an address on a package that had been sent. The merchant I ordered from left off an apt #. I got a lovely gal on the phone who located the package and got the correct information on there for me. I had been phoning everywhere and couldn't get any help! I'm so grateful to her. I don't know her name, but she was awesome!”
“Doesn’t really seem to be advertised from the street I suggest you follow your navigation closely. Not sure what the story is with parking. I parked on the side of the street in front of someones home not sure if that’s except-able but I was quick. Highly recommend this location my visit was fast and staff were professional and extremely helpful. Thank you!”
“Very professional. I was greeted by a friendly employee who took the time to show me how to work the systems. She then helped me work through my designs and pictures to formulate my store’s ad. Would highly recommend to anyone who prefers professionalism.”

28211 Southfield Rd, Lathrup Village“First of all, I need to explain the 5 stars because there is no doubt that this location has had, and still has; the same condescending, hating-life, inconsiderate, person employed at the Lathrup Village Post Office. Why the 5 stars then? Due to the new bright light named Jasmyne. She's professional, kind, quick and patient. She doesn't raise her voice, she doesn't treat customers like they aren't worth her time. She's a pleasant woman who does her job well. Say "Hi" to Jasmyne with a smile. She deserves your best you!”
“Today was my first visit to the post office since moving to Michigan a few weeks ago! There was only one person in front of me and one employee was off to the side, gathering some drop offs. She turned to me and asked if I needed help and I said yes! I just had some pre-paid drop offs! I had scheduled a pick up but it was Saturday and 3pm came and went with no sign of my mail carrier so I was getting a little concerned. I figured I'd check out our post office. (Back home I'd schedule pick ups and my mail carrier would NEVER pick up so I have a little anxiety about it.) Anyway, Kimberly was pleasant and said hi back to my toddler as many times as my kiddo said hi to her. ? She had a great attitude and assisted me expeditiously. On to the metered parking...everywhere you go has metered parking which is so strange. Back home we didn't have a meter for the library or post office or other necessary places so I was confused. The first 15 minutes are FREE. I hope that helps! I usually just need to drop off pre-paid packages.”

5931 Michigan Ave, Detroit“I had to rewrite this review because the reason I walked past 2 other Post offices were reviews about Jade. She was outstanding with her knowledge about passport documents and helped me through the process. I recently had a problem with a package I sent and I was a little hesitant. Everything went well. Denise the manager is looking into the package for me. Jade and Denise were awesome. Thank you both for your help.Tom”
9AM - 7PM
22200 W Eleven Mile Rd, Southfield“The four stars are for the hard working mail carrier. Today, she said to me that someone called and complained about my package that required a signature. No big deal right? I would never call and complain about something that isn't her fault. I just have to tell you that neither my husband or I called.”
“Dropped something in a receptacle. Forgot to put a stamp. Time sensitive. Called the 2844 Livernois USPS. Cree got on the phone, called Maria (mail lady) had her come to the site to open it up, find my envelope, and let me affix my stamps. USPS >>>> UPS, they go the extra mile.”
“I almost did not go to this post office based on reviews but I felt silly driving past it to go a couple miles away to another. I went in on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised I've never seen three counter employees at a post office normally it's 1 maybe 2 at the most! There was no line but customers were there. When I got to the counter the employee was very helpful wasn't trying to scam me out of money and probably the nicest post office employee I've ever come across”
“I think the staff at the Madison Heights branch are awesome. I've lived her for about 5 years and I've never had any real issues with mail delivery or employee attitudes. Whenever I need to go in, everyone so far has been fast, kind and helpful.”
“This branch deserves to be the highest rated in the area. So smooth to get in and our. staff professional and courteous. No outrageous lines or trifling customers. Best kept postal secret in metro DET.”
“Great customer service, but be very careful driving up the driveway just to get in the parking lot. The driveway just messed up my bumper. Best to park on the street if you don't have a truck, so you won't take a chance in ruining your vehicle.”
“Mike Henderson was extremely helpful and pleasant. I can only imagine how stressful mail service facilities can be, but he took the time to help me track down a missing package.”
“The absolute very best U S Postal experience ever. The employees were gentlemen, courteous, helpful and efficient. They exceeded my expectations. I hesitated to go on a Saturday because I thought it would be a long experience. I was glad I went anyway. I was in and out quickly on to the rest of my errands.Thank youA thousand million times.Th”
“Staff are knowledgeable and patient. I’ve never experienced a long wait time here, which is rare for a USPS store. Parking is made easy. Thanks for everything y’all do! Your neighbors appreciate you!”
“Customer service is not always the easiest position to have, but I have experienced them go over and Beyond to ensure that they helped me as much as they possibly could.”
“I went to this location to pick up a package and the way the line was ran was very efficient. The line was long but it moved fairly quickly. The employee and her manager who assisted me were very friendly. I live close by so I’ll be going to this location moving forward.”
“Thank you miss lady for going Beyond the counter to see if I had any mail even though you're line was 10 people long thank you. For the great customer service”

I really appreciated her help. I came home without knowing about the package yet but I feel much better that someone kept looking for me.I got notice from the business the end of the day. they did received my package in their mailbox in the morning.I am not happy about Express Mail service that got mix up in the process. But I am really grateful for everyone that tried to help me.”
“I run a small business and have frequented many different post offices in the metro Detroit area, and this one by far had the best staff. The woman at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful! 10/10 great experience.”
9:30AM - 5PM
16500 Joy Rd, Detroit“I recently had difficulty with an international shipment. Tracking can be difficult with them at times. My package was missing for two days but the supervisor Ms.Jackson took down my information and ensured me they would try their hardest. Thankfully it was found! I'm grateful for all of the care and hardwork from all of the postal officers here. Thank you for everything.”
“Came in today to mail out some business mailers and Venus was so nice and helpful. I came early afternoon so there wasn’t a line. I ended up coming back later on that day and she remembered me and helped me again. I also had the pleasure of being assisted by Cydia, who chatted with me about her granddaughters. Those ladies made me day.If your in the area and need to mail something, this is your place.”
“Our company had a skeleton crew on 12/31/21 and I called the PO to let them know that the mailman would have to come through a different gate. She called him while we were on the phone and he said he would meet me out front in 2 min and there he was. What a great example of customer service!”
