My daughter bought a sweater from Dear Prudence for Christmas! It was a size small but is "huge!" Today, January 20th, I brought it back! The salesperson said that they have a policy that all returns must be made by January 7th - and she read that off of the gift receipt! now, I have no problem with their policy, but when I spoke to my daughter, she said she was not made aware of it! The store has every right to make their own policies, but the customer has the right to be made aware of that policy at the time of the purchase! I left the sweater at the store and left! Nothing from the salesperson!

I came in looking for a gift for my mother. Although they have cute things, I was extremely disappointed that not one lady working here bothered to say hello to me or ask me if I needed help. This is sad considering there were only two other people in the store with me at the time.

This store has been my favorite in all of Northville to shop at for years! Staff is so personable and friendly, always willing to help. Their clothes are adorable and I fall in love with multiple pieces every time I’m their and there's always something their for everyone. The best clothing store in all of Northville!!

Great local store, HIGHLY recommend!! My daughter and I have been going to this store since they opened. The service has ALWAYS been friendly and inviting. The ladies there we give an honest opinion and if you try something on that isn't quite right for you, they will let you know. We never feel like they try to sell. They want you to be happy when you leave. Always happy to go back and support a great local business!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Love this store!! The staff are always helpful and give their honest opinion if something doesn’t fit quite right. They are very knowledgeable if a brand leans small or runs large and suggest sizing up or down accordingly. I have always had an amazing experience here.

I have shopped at this store several times and have always had such a great experience. The team is incredibly helpful, in particular an employee named JaLyn. She had the best ideas and was very helpful while I tried on dresses. I will continue to shop and share this cute, trendy store!

I stumbled upon DP one sunny day eating breakfast with my mom at Rebecca's. We walked into the store and instantly fell in love with the cutest selection of clothes and accessories and the prices were all extremely fair *Bonus* I loved it so much I decided to apply to work there that same day!I love coming into work every day looking forward to meeting our new customers and our loyal returners, helping them find the perfect outfit for whatever occasion they may have! We have customers of all ages with all different events to attend! My biggest thrill is seeing a smiling face come out of the fitting room in something I personally picked out for them. If you've shopped in the store while I'm working, chances are we found something in common to connect on during our conversation. Coming to DP, I hope to give you the girl talk you would have with one of your oldest friends and the confidence of a bomb outfit, if you have the time to play dress up for me! I haven't been a size 0 since I was 16, I'm 30 years old and now range in sizes 7-10, and constantly find options that are flattering on my body type for all the occasions I have of my own to attend. We aim to please and hope that's perceived within our community of customers, new and returning.

I will NOT be going back to Dear Prudence. This store is not body inclusive at all. I told the sales rep I needed a dress to fit a size 14 woman for a gift and they INSISTED that a medium would fit and that it would stretch. Of course it didn’t fit at all. In the end, I felt swindled and duped. I don’t think the sales team cares about the customer, they just care about another sell. Really unfortunate that their clothes don’t support the plus sized community.

I was lucky enough to find Dear Prudence in Northville and it has become my go to shop for fashion!!I am a 61 year old female and had walked by the shop many times before finally going in. To be honest, I didn’t think that I would find much in “my age” group. I am beyond thrilled to say that I was wrong! Not only do they have clothes for any age and any body type, the outfits that Jalyn found for me were very flattering on me!! Jalyn was able to figure out my style and my size within a few minutes and although I only went in to look at one pair of pants, I walked out with quite a few new outfits! I feel so confident in every article of clothing I have purchased from there (and I have been back several times since my first visit!) and I feel like I look amazing!Dear Prudence now has a very loyal customer with me! Although for obvious reasons, Jalyn will always have my heart, everyone there has been amazing every time I’ve gone in. They are very knowledgeable about their clothes and very honest in their approach! Never once did I feel pushed or told something looked good on me when clearly it did not! I have learned to trust their opinions and judgement!While your there, try their Lysse brand pant!
