The vet and techs were so extremely kind and helped me In a time where I couldn’t find an appointment with my regular vet, but the front desk staff, I am a kind person and as a pet owner will understand almost any situation when it comes to an animal. if I’ve never been to your practice and I show up early to put in my paperwork and make sure I am being timely and there is a euthanasia I completely understand if you call and tell me or come to the locked door and say please wait a few minutes there is a family grieving, as a pet owner I completely understand. Please don’t leave me at the front door holding my fingers up trying to mouth my 4pm appointment and responding back by just aggressively saying 5 minutes. I cried in my car and debated not bringing my cat in, I have only known kindness at vets because you guys go through so much you deserve all the kindness In the world and I stand by that you are absolute angels on earth!! But, I felt as if I needed to come into your office for my appointment after that extremely uncomfortable and like I couldn’t express what I needed for my animal without being met with an insult or like I was an inconvenience, I spent the entire time trying not to cry for my entire appointment, like I was going to upset someone at any minute. I don’t ever want to feel like that at the vet Including as a pet owner who understands the pain of having to put a beloved friend down or having a sick pet. Please update your new people if something like that is happening we will understand always!! Please do not make people feel bad for not knowing and just trying to come in for their appointment. I felt so unwelcome and like I was being rude the entire visit for not knowing what was happening and being ridiculed for it. Otherwise you guys are amazing and thank you for the care that you gave my kitten I will always be appreciative and you guys do amazing work for us animal lovers.

The vet and techs were wonderful. That being said, the front desk staff are idiots and rude!!! They cashed us out for the wrong dog TWICE (violating patient confidentiality, owners address and phone numbers are on the invoice) When addressing the concern that it could be dangerous due to following incorrect instructions the secretary argued multiple times “they don’t give instructions”…. When the instructions ON THE INVOICE were pointed out under INSTRUCTIONS. We were asked to not go back to their office due to pointing out the simple fact there were indeed instructions on the print out. Don’t worry, we won’t return. We are afraid you will give us the wrong health care instructions and are frankly concerned about the front desk idiocy and inability to read a simple invoice or pet name, let alone charge the correct amount.

Unfortunately the first service we needed from the Anchor Bay Vet was to put our sweet dog to rest. Everyone we came into contact with was amazingly helpful and so sympathetic. They made one of the worst days just a little bit better. Thank you. I highly recommend Anchor Bay Veterinary Center.

I love Dr. Zaffer and his staff at ABV Clinic! Reece is VERY anxious and temperamental when he’s nervous and all the staff and the Dr. were VERY accommodating from the minute we came in! They are all experienced, caring, and well rounded for diverse fur baby personalities and needs! They explained costs and didn’t leave me feeling confused at the end of our visit. Thank You, for your kindness and helping with my Boy! I know he’s difficult…. We have been coming here for years and I’ve brought 2 of my other dogs here and every time, we all have been treated respectfully!

Do not ever take your pets here! We moved to the area and were searching for a vet nearby so came here. They made the issues worse with not one but both of my dogs, who in result needed to see specialists to fix the damage done. They do not in any way care about actually helping your pets or working to provide proper care.

I took my dog in because she was having trouble breathing, blood shot eyes and a large lump in her neck. They took blood work which showed infection but they insisted was not her lymph nodes and that they would need to do exploratory surgery to figure out what the lump is and have it removed. They Prescribed her antibiotics and steroids in the mean time. The following day the lump was almost gone and most of her symptoms so I took her elsewhere for a second opinion because surgery on a lump that is disappearing seemed drastic to me. In the second opinion we found out that she did not need surgery and it was an infection in her lymph nodes and she should clear up just fine with medication. So I’ll give 2 stars for the fact that they got her stable but they misdiagnosed her and almost did a completely unnecessary and invasive exploratory surgery.
