This place is amazing. I went there to have my knife sharpen and when I walked in the door the smell just took me away. There are so many spices anything you can think of or might need they have it. Every time I've been there whoever is working the cash register has wonderful advice. I have always left there with a huge smile on my face.

A new business on my list of favourites.They specialize in sharpening cutlery for area restaurant and meat packing businesses. I finally visited, bringing a long a few of my kitchen cutlery. When I retrieved them the next day, they were properly sharpened, with a keen edge on each.Sharpening is $3 or $4 for each knife (okay, I can't remember), and they safety sleeve each piece upon return.You will notice many, many new knives of all sorts for sale at the counter and directly behind, hanging on the wall. Reasonably priced, they surely have any knife you might need.A side line is their various cutting boards and cookware. As well, they have sausage-making equipment and the spices to support.On a related note, Ferrari also carries used kitchen cutlery that has been sharpened over time. They might be at the end of their usefulness for professional kitchens, but they still have a lot of life left for home use. I picked up several used knives to supplement my current stock. Bargain pricing for all used knives.I didn't realize that they also specialized in spice blends for all sorts of meat and vegetable preparations. Their selections are almost overwhelming, but again, you will most certainly find a suitable blend for all of your needs.For those of you that smoke meats, they carry a variety of clean hardwood sawdust and wood chips.Have any questions? I did, and the gentleman behind the counter was able to answer them and make suggestions to assist me.They don't have a big presence along Groesbeck Highway, but once inside, you will find their specialty store to be amazing.I recommend!

I have had my kitchen knives sharpened here a few times and they have done a great job. I have also found that the pricing was very reasonable on commercial kitchen utensils so I have purchased several items for the kitchen during my visits. The main reason that I go to Ferrari is the spice aisle. Whether you are smoking, grilling, or making sausages this is the place to buy your spices. Very good selection and their signature blends have all been excellent.

Long story short, i've had my chef's and cleaver knives for 9 years. i dogged them out cutting through dozens of whole chickens. The thought never occured to me to get them sharpened, i was just gonna buy new ones. Turned to google, google said Ferrari & Sons. So i got my knives sharpened. for 3.50$ a piece. got 6 knives sharpened and now they cut through tomatoes like a hot knife through butter! See video. I forgot the guys name at the counter but he was a cool dude. Also the smell when i walked in was FABULOUS. the Spice game is real there and i will be returning in a few weeks to stock up on spices. I am VERY pleased with the sharpening services and i am sure i will be equally pleased with the spices i plan to purchase!

Asked for a recommendation for where to go to have garden clippers sharpened, on the Clinton Twp Facebook group. Numerous people recommended James Ferrari & Sons. I went there on Monday and had 8 pairs of garden clippers, lops and grass clippers sharpened. Gino was wonderful. Fast service, reasonable price. Highly recommend. I will tell my friends and neighbors!

We are not professionals, (sometimes we like to pretend we are) but we do need sharp knives for the delicious dinners we make at home and really for anything that needs chopping. James Ferrari & Sons caters to the professional and private customers for anything knives and tools. They also have a large selection of spices and custom made spice blends for sale. Our knifes were ready next day and we also bought a knife roll for the next time we need to bring them anywhere. Great service!

this place always exceeds my expectations. love how it's a one stop shop for my needs. and if I can't make the drive. nine times out if 10 I talk to Vince on the phone. I order what I need and he has it delivered to me. quality knives! their lineup of ferrari branded knives are second to non I dont use the knife service . only me using my blades. but I buy all my knives from Ferrari and they are great long lasting and affordable. everything about ferrari is great in my book

great selection of fresh spices and custom blends, I have used JF&S at 4 of the businesses that I have worked for they are the best! fast shipping, easy to deal with! Love the BIG ZORT mix! goes great on any meats and perfect for grilling season!
