Prices are generally a little better than the others, but the selection (especially fresh produce) is so-so. No real reason to make this my go-to, but it's fine if you're in the area.

This place is going downhill fast. This new essentials brand that is taking over is the cheapest stuff I’ve ever used. Also their store brand used to be Michigan made, because they pretend to be a local store, this new stuff comes from the East Coast. Maine or somewhere like that. So much for supporting local companies. Now they’re pretending that they can’t get anybody to work at the deli. And instead of being intelligent and making the hours 10 to 7 for people who work they decided to go 9 to 6 so if you have a job you don’t get to buy lunch meat during the week. This pretty much screams “We do not care about the customers”. I don’t know what’s happened to this place over the last few years but if you’re incapable of running it, shut it down and let’s get somebody in here who will do it right. You guys need to just shut your doors and let a grocery store that knows how to schedule employees open up. Myers deli counter hours matches their store hours Kroger‘s deli counter hours matches their store hours the little tiny grocery store on Lincoln can keep their deli open. Learn how to schedule. You had several people standing around in the meat department with no customers move them over to the deli. You have five people behind that counter on a Tuesday afternoon with no customers. Maybe move two of those to the late shift. if you do not want to manage your store properly and actually serve your customers then leave the location and let someone who can do it right move in.

My experience at Hollywood has, for years, been 99.9% positive. Staff attitude & assistance, selection & quality of brands all “top op the chart”. My only real complaint is with the availability & maintainenance of the electric transport carts, for elderly & handicapped customers. The availability & maintenance of the carts at the Madison Heights store is “borderline acceptable” at best. There are currently only 2 carts available at this store, & both are of questionable reliability. Just this past Sunday, Dec. 3rd. , I was using the only cart in the store with a larger basket, having a larger shopping list to fill. I was two items short of completing my list, when the cart just stopped running. A nearly full charge was showing, but it simply would not move. I’ve had this happen a time or two before, but this time, I was at the back of the store, with a a VERY full cart.As in the past, staff was very helpful in resolving my problem, by getting the only other cart in the store, (a small capacity one), & got most of my order packed into it. This kind of assistance is greatly appreciated but, quite honestly, should not be necessary!! You have a good store, & it would be a smart move to insure that your elderly & handicapped customers are adequately provided for. From other businesses I have observed, it would seem reasonable to have at least 3 large capacity (fully functional) carts available to those of us who need them, at all times. If you place any importance on the elderly & handicapped customers you have, (and you certainly should), please correct this problem as soon as possible.

Wide aisles, short checkout and meat counter lines, great variety, a good gluten-free selection, and employees that care make this my go-to shopping spot. Try the frozen seasoned cod from a cooler near the deli.

I used to love this location, but since covid, it seems like they carry less of a selection of products. I find things I love and know they sell because I am shopping at the location twice a week, and they will be sold out of an item I like quickly. Then it will be brought back in for about a month or so and then never seen again. That is unless I go to the much smaller Hollywood on Main Street in Royal Oak. Also, the baked goods are not horrible at this location. I miss the freshly baked breads, donuts, bagels, and bread sticks. Now they use New York bagel or something for the bagels and bread sticks. That bakery seems to use poppy seeds on almost every flavor bagel and bread stick. Not everyone like poppy seeds, and many seniors that have dentures can not eat them because they get under the dentures, so my dad says. If it was not for the meat counter and the amazing staff behind it, I would probably not shop at this location. You would think they would want to have as much of a selection as possible at the location to compete with kroger close by or make it a specialty market with things that kroger does not have to keep business up. They have plenty of shelf space, just stop making so many duplicated rows of things. They do it at the royal oak location. I would shop at that location more often, but it is out of my way. Hope someone sees this and makes improvements.

It's a just My size type of place all the employees are so helpful I can usually get my shopping done in record time. Once in awhile I can't find a certain items but that's my only complaint.

Ok overall. I come from a military/vet fam so stopped in. Needed some apples for some pie. I got a feeling they're probably nicer to some folks over others at checkout. Not friendly and seemed annoyed. Maybe it's a cultural thing.

I've been shopping here for a decade and never left a review. However, tonight I had an issue and needed help. Tom, one of the managers, dropped everything the second I got his attention and helped me. He was attentive, and empathetic, and I could tell he truly cared. I was grateful that in today's society such a wonderful employee was there to assist me!! Thank you!!

So another irritating dream cruise weekend is upon us. I just left Hollywood market and was delighted by the treatment I received at the Deli Department. I think her name was Laura, and they were short staffed... She took a hectic situation and turned it into a pleasant experience! It is employees like her and Michelle the cashier that makes Hollywood. A stand out place to buy your groceries.

High prices, especially on the rotisserie chicken chickens are only may be 2 pounds and they charge you $7.99 per chicken. And high prices on deli items like sandwich spread 7.99 a pound that’s ridiculous. Go to bjs or Sam’s club and a chicken there are 3 pounds or plus for only $4.99 per chicken.

I absolutely love working for this company. I've worked for them for 3 years in my early years at the Troy location & being at the Madison Hgts location is more than wonderful! Thank you for the opportunity again!

I wasn’t impressed with this place. There was nothing special about it. Produce was standard and overpriced. The bakery looked like junk. Giant section of weird flavored popcorn…WTH? I found a couple jars of expired molasses. The store was clean, I’ll give them that. There’s no shortage of grocery stores around here though, I see no reason to return to that one.

Very clean and pleasant. Meat and deli departments are excellent! You might pay a little more for some items than the big Kroger across the road, but they more than make up for it with their service and the overall shopping experience!

Store is always clean, quiet and less crowded than other grocery stores, And....the folks at the meat counter aren't every angry like others(which is nice). I visit here several times a week and it's my usual place even though it's out of my way.
