Please, do not let these negative comments alter your mind about staying at the staybridge suites here in Kalamazoo. I’d like to extend a special thanks to Zesus & the night time staff. Tiffany and the kitchen staff. Our house was destroyed by the tornado so insurance placed us at this hotel, our family has been here for several nights but I must say the staff and hotel stay has been phenomenal. Zesus goes above and beyond to ensure comfort and happiness in his customers. I am a satisfied customer. Rooms were clean, laundry room was convenient, kitchen staff even accommodated that our family does not eat meat! Thank you staybridge! Byrd family appreciates you all!

I had my son’s 5th birthday here and he loved it! The staff at the front desk were absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. They even made him a cute birthday sign with his name! A special thank you to Ashlie and Zeus is definitely deserved!
The pool area was very nice, the courtyard was spacious and had lots of seating, a fire pit, and multiple grills. The room was also spacious and nice and everything was very clean. Overall it was great!

Amazing stay as always. We had a large group of almost 30 people staying and Tiffany and Zeus were great. Would definitely recommend coming back.

The rooms were clean and seemed to be well kept, just some basic maintenance issues here and there but no huge issues with that.
My main issue in the 2 days I stayed was the front desk staff disappeared all the time to go our and smoke or watch tic toc while customers waited and waited for help. I even called while in front of the front desk to try to get help. The first Picture shows the front desk worker outside smoking watching tic toc.

We stayed for one night and loved the exceptional service at the front desk by Zeus. He was very kind to get us a crib and bedding for baby, which we forgot!
The hotel is impeccably clean, including the room. It was very spacious room with a kitchenette (dishwasher and stove too), a sectional couch, tv and plenty of room for the crib. The rooms are a bit older and have had great facelifts but as a family hotel, we were not expecting a luxury resort. Breakfast the next morning was great with plenty of options. Overall, a great stay.

Comfortable bed, well-equipped room with proper kitchen (huge microwave plus dishwasher and big fridge). Shower less good. Breakfast much better than usual in this kind of hotel but awful weak coffee. Nice green leafy courtyard. Pool and gym (did not use). Restaurants within walking distance

Hotel with very good value for money,
professional and very friendly team
Room with all comfort and clean, quiet
But the hotel is outside the center so car required

Wow, it's a mini apartment!Full kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, dishes, cups, bowls, pots, pans, exhaust fan, Palmolive bottle.I stayed in the king suite. Separate bedroom from living room. 2 TV's. Large chaise lounge sofa.Comfy bed and pillows. Lots of storage options for clothes. Dressers, closets. Full ironing table and iron. Large closet in bathroom.Close to the freeway and tons of shipping and restaurants. Free parking. Friendly service. Helpful.Main downsides: no exhaust in bathroom, and a big gap under the main door (I threw a towel down to cover the gap). Can hear the hallway clearly and your neighbor too.Pool area is far away but good and a nice courtyard.Laundry room for guests with many dryers out of commission and the room was very cold.Bring back bar soap! The Palmolive and Dove liquid soap kept bubbling and don't rinse off completely. Plus they smell strong.

An unfortunate water damage claim has landed my large family an extended stay at this hotel.Having been here over a week (and several more to go) I have a pretty good grasp on this place.1. The king / double queen suites are legit. They are like little apartments, love it! Full kitchen, 2 full baths- plenty of space.2. Staff is hit or miss. I already have my favorites picked out and definitely know who I'm not going to for questions...3. Key access doors on the east side and north (back) side suuuuuuuck. The east door is apparently haunted- and this is how you get the door to work-Swipe your key then say "please haunted door...let me in"It has an 87% success rate thus far.4. Free breakfast is available and actually pretty good.5. Monday- Wednesday "light dinner" is served- not too shabby either.6. Pool is nothing special- no hot tub- that kinda sucks.7. Gas firepit and gas grills in the court yard- bonus.8. FREE MF LAUNDRY!!!! Just bring your own supplies- that's amazing.9. Pet friendly10. Yard is full of poop - beware
