This museum is absolutelyy gorgeous :) my girlfriend and i travel around to collect squished pennies and was so happy to see this museum had a machine! Not only that but the building was extremely beautiful inside, clean, and had some extremely interesting stuff there that we didn’t know much about until we visited and learned. They also have this really gorgeous wall of old artifacts that you can zoom in on and learn about with the 2 tablets between floors, that is by far one of the cooler things i have seen in a museum. 10/10 would recommend going if you can!

The upper floor exhibits are great, but the ground floor exhibits push leftist propaganda.

This is an awesome museum to visit! Interesting things to see and do, very interactive, children love it! It's free to get in, just pay for parking, easy enough to get there. All the employees are friendly and helpful!

The children’s layout has changed a lot and not for the better. There is an odd age limit of 5 and under to go in the interactive area, even though the activities and books are more than appropriate and might even make more sense for up to 7 yrs, maybe older. Outside that area are much more advanced exhibits so there doesn’t seem to be much middle ground for ages 6-8.

Wonderful museum for kids and adults alike. A wide variety of interests are represented, complete with local history and great rotating exhibits. We love the Planetarium, with shows geared towards kiddos and the general public, Fri- Sun for $3 (very reasonable, IMO). There is always something for us to enjoy here and we are so grateful for the welcoming and kind staff who make it possible. Thank you, Kalamazoo Valley Museum!

Great free museum! Perfect thing to do for a few hours in downtown Kalamazoo! We weren't sure what to expect and didn't give ourselves enough time to see the entire thing.

Everything, just Everything about this museum was absolutely fantastic. We planned to spend about 2 hours here we ended up canceling other plans and spent the entire day here. We still didn't see Everything either. It was such an amazing time for everyone from very little kids up to the adults. Would definitely recommend to any and everyone that stops by the Kalamazoo area.

Came with a daycare group and had a fun hour. I wish some of the other exhibits were available, but the third floor only had the mummy, the kids corner was closed, and planetarium does not do shows on Wednesdays. We didn't spend as much of our day there as we had planned. Also a curator was cleaning up the hands-on props (plastic food) as we were still looking and playing which made us feel a bit unwelcome or as if we shouldn't have been playing with the items, after asking her if we were allowed to she seemed to relax a little. Overall it was still very nice, the second floor is so much fun ?

This place easily killed two hours of wait time before our train. It's a block and a half from the train/bus station. We could have spent another hour. It was SO nice, clean, and super fun for my six-year-old daughter (and me). Admission was absolutely free, they had free storage lockers for our luggage, and the staff were the friendliest. I'm not sure we'll be going back to Kalamazoo, but if we do, we'd definitely go back.

Very friendly staff and a lovely planetarium. We had fun watching the story about the stars ?It's only $3 per person for the planetarium, but the museum itself is free, if you are going ultra-low budget. The upstairs is the best place, there are only a few displays downstairs.Bathrooms were spotless!
