I love visiting the KIA, it’s an intimate museum that has excellent programming.the Wu Jian’an lecture was terrific, the holiday sale was also wonderful…. And the printing studio is terrific for taking classes.
The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts comprises an 11-gallery fine arts museum and the Kirk Newman Art School (KNAS) which offers art classes for all ages and abilities throughout the year. Enjoy world class exhibitions, artist lectures, demonstrations, film screenings, gallery talks, docent-led tours, book discussions, children's programs, a Gallery Shop and library. Take in the Arts Fair in early June and the KNAS Holiday Sale in November. There are volunteer opportunities, membership levels for personal and corporate use and donor opportunities through sponsorship or individual giving helping to support the KIA, where art is for everyone.
