Years ago they made rum cherries that were amazing. Now they list them and never have them available. After years in business you would think they would figure this out.

I grew up not too far from Corden's but never made it in. My mom and I were driving by on Good Friday and I said "Ok, today we stop. What a better time to check it out than chocolate bunny time?" But of course everyone else seemed to have the same idea because they were almost completely cleared out! They were very apologetic and did help me choose two of what they did have in stock, a small "floppy ear" bunny and a bigger fella driving a car. Both were solid milk chocolate! No negative space here, just solid, smooth milk chocolate! In general Corden's is more of an old school candy shop. Think traditional chocolates with fillings like raspberry and vanilla cremes, caramels, turtles and more in milk and dark chocolates. No experimental flavors like chili or basil here. And they've been doing it since 1918! A century of chocolate making can't be wrong! In general I'm more of a dark chocolate kinda gal so I had to try it! Which means I also got a few of their loose dark chocolates to try out: the peanut butter diamond, sea salt caramel, and a raspberry creme. Really enjoyed them! The staff was SO friendly and helpful and they were definitely "all hands on deck" for Easter, with around 5-6 folks rotating in and out of the storefront and the back bringing out more chocolate filled eggs and such. Looking forward to going back and enjoying another round of candy in the future! May they go on 100 years more!
