First time bringing cows to slaughter here and definitely the last. Had a note on the slip, exactly where I was told to write it, asking to save one of the bulls for a European mount. Nothing was ever said so I called. No call back and when I called they said “oh we didn’t keep it”. No offer of compensation, just stated “they didn’t see the note”. If you ask me that’s ridiculous and definitely makes me question what else is missed that isn’t an obviously written on the kill tag. Disappointing experience to say the least.

Husband picked up our 1 quarter beef meat. Arrived home and missing much of our meat. Most of my canning meat. All of our hamberg patties. Paid extra for wrapping patties. Missing other meat. Wow. Expensive when you not receiving what beef you purchased.Stopped in at 600 am and talked to Bill. Asked what their loss average was. Showed their form of 35 %. Our loss was 60 percent. 2 guys looked for missing meat and found 15 lb of hamburg patties. Told me our loss was 47%. Still missing a lot of meat. I show 50 % loss.Based on their percentages I'm missing 32 lbs of meat.My husband stopped in at noon. Handed him 20 lbs of canning meat.Our canning meat was about half fat. We cut off the fat we could. Obviously not the meat we purchased. Never in 46 years of canning meat purchased from friends have we had meat like this. Not the meat we purchased.

I buy meat from CPM and it’s been fantastic. Family came in from Upstate NY who raise their own cows and they said our meat from CPM was fantastic. Their sons eat every piece of meat on their plate.PETA members are against leather shoes not a neutral voice for the meat eating public.
