This is my go-to when I need tomatillos, nopal, epazote, etc. They also have great fresh and frozen tamales (my favorite are the cheese and jalapeño ones). I will say that the prices are a little higher so this isn't my standard place for weekly supplies.”

“My experience at Hollywood has, for years, been 99.9% positive. Staff attitude & assistance, selection & quality of brands all “top op the chart”. My only real complaint is with the availability & maintainenance of the electric transport carts, for elderly & handicapped customers. The availability & maintenance of the carts at the Madison Heights store is “borderline acceptable” at best. There are currently only 2 carts available at this store, & both are of questionable reliability. Just this past Sunday, Dec. 3rd. , I was using the only cart in the store with a larger basket, having a larger shopping list to fill. I was two items short of completing my list, when the cart just stopped running. A nearly full charge was showing, but it simply would not move. I’ve had this happen a time or two before, but this time, I was at the back of the store, with a a VERY full cart.As in the past, staff was very helpful in resolving my problem, by getting the only other cart in the store, (a small capacity one), & got most of my order packed into it. This kind of assistance is greatly appreciated but, quite honestly, should not be necessary!! You have a good store, & it would be a smart move to insure that your elderly & handicapped customers are adequately provided for. From other businesses I have observed, it would seem reasonable to have at least 3 large capacity (fully functional) carts available to those of us who need them, at all times. If you place any importance on the elderly & handicapped customers you have, (and you certainly should), please correct this problem as soon as possible.”
“They have a good beer selection. But they need to crank that beer cooler down another 5-10 degrees. Every single time I get beer from here from their cooler I have to take it home and stick it in my freezer for a good half hour or so to get it so it's not warmish. I don't know about you, but I like my beer cold!Other than that it's a pretty decent store. A little overpriced but it's a convenience store so I get it. The beer prices are ok, it's the groceries I'm taking about.”
“I bought the very-best plant pot that I have EVER had at this super market and I HIGHLY recommend to any indoor gardeners. They were selling these beautiful, tall terracotta pots, so I took one home and drilled a hole in the bottom. I have never seen a pot provide such wonderful drainage for my plants. Highly recommend. “I love this store. I have been shopping at Parkway since before they moved to their current location in the old Farmer Jack on Jefferson. The meat is top notch and at far cheaper and better than any place except maybe Eastern Market. They have actual butchers that can break down an animal and they do. Not everything is cheap.......like most stores. I shop most everywhere, Aldi, Kroger.... every week so I know the prices The owner is always getting deals like Triscuits for a buck a box NOT OUTDATED. I would drive to Rochester to see if I could find that deal there but heard traffic was backed up on Rochester Road. Meat people very helpful and present if you want something special or have a question. I have had a lot of special meat orders throughout the years. I also like the checkout people, fun and friendly. “It's small but has so many great items in it. We go to Tuhama's down the block as often as possible and popped in here one day to get drinks. We ended up getting a lot more - imported candies, pomegranate molasses, and some very interesting pomegrante & strawberry drinks that have basil in them which basically turn into almost like miniature boba and are now my favorite drink. They've unfortunately been having trouble getting them with COVID shortages and shipping increases but I hope my fav drink will be back soon. Until then, every time I go to check, I find something new to get and now that I've gotten my faculty hooked on the little hard coffee candies and they've run out, have an excuse to go back ;)”
