“I've lived here for 8 months at the time of writing. This is far and away the nicest place I've lived since moving to Detroit four years ago. TL;DR: The place is reasonably clean & quiet, it doesn't feel cheaply renovated, maintenance is handled well, management is responsive, and the neighborhood is reasonably quiet with good amenities. The grounds are kept reasonably clean, the apartments aren't falling apart the way you see many others around the city are, and maintenance has never been an issue. There are always issues with any rental, especially older buildings, but the issues here have been minor and have been handled so well that they aren't worth mentioning beyond that. I really can't stress it enough: I've been in various places while attending university, and all of them felt like they were just barely holding together, with at least one crippling issue (pipes freezing, showers breaking, mold issues,) cropping up every year. My apartment here doesn't do that. It doesn't feel like it could fall apart at any moment. They're low maintenance (on your end,) solid apartments.Management (especially Jeannette, who is on-site 5 days a week) has always been responsive to concerns & tries to be on top of things around the complex. The amenities in the neighborhood are worth mentioning: You've got two grocery stores just a block away, the Dequindre Cut is just a block away, and the Riverfront is easily reachable too. Downtown is a bit of a hike, but still perfectly doable. The area is reasonably quiet most nights, and your neighbors within the complex (from my experience) are too. The pool was renovated recently, at the time of writing. It's a good place to live.”

“I have never known a manager that really cares 100% about their job like Crystal and her two maintenance guys who worked with her prior to and after the pandemic. They always shown great hospitality when ever you saw them. Kudos to you Crystal because you take care of all maintenance requests quickly and keep the outside complex's curb appeal clean and beatiful looking. Thank you and the team.”

“You can’t beat the location! Having just recently(ish) switched management companies we were expecting some hiccups, but it was nothing we couldn’t handle. 10/10 would recommend living here! You are right in the heart of everything in a cool industrial building with a great staff and friendly neighbors… do it!

Vernie and the maintenance team are always quick to respond which is greatly appreciated! They have helped us so much time and time again. <3

Janeen is so amazing and we are SO GLAD to have her! Her positive energy and attitude are a bright light in the building.”

“Dallas has been a great help with assisting me in the moving process and any concerns(very few) that I have had while living here. I just hit the six month mark of living here. I love my apartment and how I was able to personalize it. I live off the alley but I rarely smell anything because the dumpsters are emptied almost every day. The noise from that took a second to get used to (about a month) but now I don’t even wake up. A lot of people in the building have dogs but I never hear them nor smell them. The building is super clean and always smell fresh. Idk if it’s just my floor but it’s always quiet in here. Even on the weekends. So I would highly recommend this building if you want to be part of the downtown community. Tell them I sent you ?”

“To me they are like family. It’s not just a place to live, it’s a community. And I think that’s important in the stand age and Regency Tower Apts provides me with that in spite of my own shortcomings”

“Totally awesome, newly renovated, minimalistic, perfect for couple nights, great atmosphere, walking distance to restaurants, arena, ball games, etc. Just great, plus reasonable pricing.”

“For downtown living, it's incredibly affordable (aside from parking) with a lot of great amenities. It's right in the heart of downtown so you have access to lots of good restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms themselves are very clean, and maintenance responds very quickly when you need something fixed. Highly recommend it!”

“When I moved into the Park Shelton a year ago I hadn’t been considering moving to Detroit. But I was immediately charmed by the lobby’s beautiful architecture and the enticing selection of restaurants and shops and the lifestyle I imagined. My own unit has wonderful architectural details and I never tire of the inspiring view. The building management, the front desk staff and the friendly residents take pride in caring for the building and looking out for each other. Maintenance issues and repairs like heating and air conditioning, roof and window repairs, cleanliness, parking are address proactively by a responsible condo board and tenants are notified of unavoidable short term inconveniences. This is a great home base from which to explore Detroit and to appreciate what this amazing city has to offer.”

“Great exterior architecture!!! Inside has been remodeled into uniform utilitarian apartments, but for the cost of rent you can't beat it!!! (Kamper Stevens down on the next block is also worth checking out) Rent is based on income. Almost all apartments are 1 bedroom 1 bath, except for a few 2 bedroom 1 bath on the 21st floor which are around $1000/month. All apartment's views are spectacular. Rent for all apartments includes heat and water, are cable ready, have air conditioning, and a dedicated cable for the front door camera.”

“I moved in the apartments recently. Dana was super helpful and took the extra time and effort to ensure I find a unit that met my specifications. Thank you! My apartment has a beautiful view of downtown. I appreciate that everyone working at the leasing office are very accessible and pro-active in resolving challenges.”

“Use to live there and I loved it and I have no complaints at all, seriously. I moved for none related issues that had nothing to do with the Apartment, management, neighborhood, or neighbors for that matter. Loved my neighbors”

“I have nothing negative to say about DSB! The experience has been everything I expected living downtown. Kara is the sweetest, most accommodating property manager, one of the reasons I renewed my lease! The staff responds to every request very fast but there is rarely ever any issues!”

“I’ve got to be honest. I was extremely nervous working for Quicken Loans and moving into my first place, but the leasing manager Lee is the absolute best. He and the team made the transition smooth and without question this has to be the best property downtown. They even gave us free KFC dinners and it’s only my second month here lol!! I highly recommend this place primarily due to the leasing manager...he gets it!”

“It is a reasonable place to be in . Nighttime security maybe tired . All I'm gonna say is make sure you have your own security. Purchase your own security cameras . Other then that. It is a beautiful place to live.”

“I have been living at the Jefferson apartments for 13yrs.
I have seen my share of managers and staff, but I have to give credit where it's due and the current staff are one of my favorites.
One stand out employee is office worker Tamika Thomas.
She is always very polite and helpful to me because I use a wheelchair.
She always makes me feel respected and looked after.
She has never been too busy to address any issues my family has had.
In my opinion Ms. Tamika is one of the most polite people to work in this building.
Anytime we had packages to be delivered or maintenance problems she was always willing to do what she could to resolve any problems even if it was nothing but some kind words to help ease the tension.
Ms.. Kim is also very pleasant yet professional.
When I come to talk to any of them she always has something funny to say just to keep up office morale or pass time.
They go out their way to make me feel welcomed when I enter the office or when we have social events on site
I have to admit I like them all because they are nice enough to actually listen to our concerns.
Mariah, the apartment manager is also very nice and I can tell that under her team a lot of the long time maintenance issues are finally being resolved.
My only real complaint is that I wish they were here years ago.
I bet that the Jefferson would be better than it was in its glory days because it would be obvious that people still care about the complex and the residents.
9 out of 10 for me.
Keep up the good work!”

“Where do I start?* I got there and instantly felt secure and safe.* was early to my appointment there was no fuss about it but it was followed up with not one but two different people taking the time to assist me in whatever manner I needed and that felt just like family* saw a total of four units that were perfect in every way and exactly what I was looking for* before I saw any unit the warm welcome clear communication from Ms. Amanda Thompson already had me hooked her energy was so amazing the way she took time to go over each detail of each unit, offer us water and never forgot to remind us to watch or step as the floors and building type changed…… Great experience awesome location and staff. Thank you for your awesomeness ”

“First of all, I just HAVE to say that LT is a VERY well ran building. I am sooooo glad that I didn't allow the reviews to deter my decision to live here. Not only is this place situated in a very PRIME LOCATION where one can walk the cut, walk to the local mart, grab some hot food, walk to Greektown within 10 mins... but also, the management is VERY responsive! I have NEVER had to wait an uncomfortable amount of time to have my minor issues handled. KIM, one of the office managers, in particular is INCREDIBLY tactful, efficient, polite, poised, and overall makes me feel like I have someone to depend on when it comes to management. Her ability to deal with such high volumes of people with varying situations and STILL be able to make renters feel appreciated and respected speaks volumes. If you're thinking about moving to a place that includes some utilities, offers a nice pool in summer, a small workout room, and allows you to live your best life with jaw dropping views why not make it here?.. Where else can you wake up to the sunrise end with a sunset... talk to the moon and stars, enjoy the storm and snowfall from up high for the reasonable price??? Come on and do yourself a favor, sign the lease and get to enjoying Detroit!!! Thank you Kim, Ms. Johnson, Yvonne and Mike for all that you do! ? I have lived here for 8 months and have NEVER had to wait long for an elevato, not once. Anything negative to say is so small... not worth mentioning... I would like an updated unit but my needs are met.....”
