Lots of cool yarns, lots of cool equipment (example: very cute stitch markers), & very friendly staff. Someone was even weaving on their loom! But the focus is definitely more on knitting than on crochet.

While I’ve only been in the shop a handful of times.. Two maybe, some beautiful yarn caught my eye back in March. I’m originally from the north side of town but I live on a military base in another state so finding really, REALLY good local yarn shops is few and far between. I was able to make an order online and they shipped fast. While I would have loved to shop in-store, I was surprised they shipped!! Very friendly service and I hope to actually visit the store when I come back home in the Fall!!

Threadbender has been a West Michigan mainstay for decades! Full of creative & lovely options, helpful staff, and gorgeous supplies for knitting, crochet, weaving and more. Close to the M6 exit, definitely worth a stop! My pretties from today:

Love to visit this shop, which has so many yarn options (texture, brand, weight, color) and oodles of finished projects to give you an idea of how the various fibers knit up. Threadbender offers creative classes, friendly service, fun events, and gorgeous original patterns & hand-dyed yarns. A definite “must visit” if in the Grand Rapids area!

West Michigan is fortunate to have several local yarn shops and Threadbender is a favorite! Celebrating LYS Day was a lot of fun, I was welcomed by the friendly staff including a hug from the owner Becca and it was exciting to see so many people supporting the debut of her new pattern Tiny Textures!

They weren't lying that this store is very busy for LYS! The store is very small and becomes virtually miniscule when there's so many people in there. Chaotic and un-fun - two words that describe threadbender. Not my cuppa.

I highly recommend this store. Beautiful selections and the customer service is amazing. I bought buttons from them last fall and needed one more. They were so helpful when I called: looked through their inventory, found the button I was looking for and promptly mailed it to me.

Today was my first time visiting here, and I was blown away with how friendly and eager to help the staff was! She went above and beyond to answer my questions, help me find what I was looking for, and even offered to help teach me! This store felt like a home, and I just can't say enough how warm, inviting, and special they made my visit. I wish I was always surrounded with that atmosphere. ? I enjoyed the selection of yarn and found what I needed. Though I am an avid crocheter, I was a little hesitant with what I would need as I am about to begin a new type of crochet project for me, and now, I can't wait to get started with my beautiful new Nazli Gelin crochet thread! ?

Visited for the first time today during West Michigan Yarn Quest 2021. This place is so great. Friendly staff (and customers) made me feel like I've been shopping here forever. There are so many samples worked up and displayed . So much inspiration wherever you look! I picked up some goodies and can't wait to cast on some projects.
