As far as small private liberal arts college book stores go, it seemed OK. Admittedly, they were closed when I was visiting campus, but the dark room looked reasonably acceptable.

Very friendly staff, if you're not a student, there's still enough variety to find what you need.

Love this college, wish my kids would have choosen it but a lot of their friends have and they really enjoy the small town feel of it yet it is soo close to Grand Rapids with all of the bigger town things to do. Great Athletic program, beautiful campus and well worth a visit.

The campus culture at Aquinas College is amazing. You can sense the Dominican Sister's influence in the classes and student services. The faculty truly cares about your ability to succeed in the world and takes the extra time to work with students outside the classroom. In addition, the folks in the Advantage Center encouraged experiences such as internships and study away to help us develop career readiness skills. The job placement services are there for students and alumni who connect with the staff.

Aquinas College is not a terrible school, but it is also not the best. The professors I've had have been amazing aside from a select few, but that is to be expected. I have had a few issues with this school. The first is that student parking is sold to Spectrum Health employees, leaving little to no spaces for the students that actually attend Aquinas to park during the week. The second is that there is very little diversity at this school, but it is a small school and they are working to improve diversity. The third is the constant disorganization in the registrar office. I transferred to AQ with an Associate of Arts, which placed me at junior status when I started here. Unfortunately, they cannot keep student records straight and I was listed as a freshman for my first year due to a mistake on the registrar office's end. This impeded me from signing up for classes on time and I had to be waitlisted for courses I needed to graduate. Fortunately I was able to get into the classes I needed to stay on schedule. Then, the office did not track credits well from the start. This left me scrambling for a 3 credit course to be able to graduate because a person in the office had miscounted credits and approved me to graduate when I was short by 3. If that was not enough, they had listed me as a freshman again the term that I was graduating even though I was in senior level courses, in my capstone class, had more than enough credits, and had met all of my graduation requirements. The only reason why I rated this school so high was because, like I said, the professors here are amazing people. They truly go above and beyond what is expected, and they really do care about their students. Aside from the constant headache with the rest of the school, I feel like I did get a quality education. With the addition of the new science building and their efforts to improve diversity, I would recommend AQ. Just be sure to keep track of literally everything so that you can graduate because registrar is terrible.
