The office was able to get me in same day and when I arrived I didn’t have to wait in waiting area I was put right in a room. Within minutes someone came in to ask questions etc. The Vet was very friendly easy to talk to answered all my concerns. The whole staff is friendly helpful and knowledgeable.

This place is phenomenal with you fur babies! I took my baby boy to get neutered and they kept me informed and took such wonderful care of my baby. I would give ten stars if I could just on the care that he received yesterday. Thank you all for taking such great care of my Scrappy Doo

We had recently changed vets for our Yorkie Max and have heard from friends and reviews that North River Animal hospital offered exceptional care for their pets. We made an appointment for Max and we're greeted by the staff and we were met by Dr Browns assistant, she did the preliminary assessment and general check up. We provided Max previous shot records and Dr Brown brought him up to date. The staff and Dr Brown were exceptionally kind and Max enjoyed his trauma free visit. The charges for his check up,shot, blood work and heart worm medication we're very reasonable. If you need a Vet ,this is the place.

I've run two of my dogs in here. The staff is very friendly and appear to be knowledgeable in any questions I have. My only concern with them is they're still a little behind on prescription refills coming from an outside source. I have my prescriptions refilled at Walmart. They fax things over and the veterinary office ignores them. I didn't even get a call so my dog ran out of meds until I called them because they wouldn't reply to the request from Walmart directly. And then they made me come in and pick up the prescription directly. Wish I would have understood this beforehand. And it would be great if they updated their systems.

It is outrageous that every time you come in even if it’s for booster shots, you have to have a $53 exam and you basically have no choice but to do the exam. My kitten had a shot and then had to have two boosters after that so three visits for the same shot and it cost me $53. Every time I came in for the booster shot and everything, but I was told on the phone I wouldn’t have to have the vet exam but then when I got there, I did have to pay it. Tell me on the phone and something else when I get there.

The owner said we are not allowed to go there - I think the owner name is Dr, Barnes. We were seeing Dr, Darling for a long time and she was excellent. Then she went for maternal leave so had to get a different Doctor then they gave us Dr Barnes which I think is one of the owners. My cat went there for a high infection of liver disease and instead of putting him on IV which could have improved his condition right away they gave us some meds and send us away. When we come home we found our cat’s body was half wet with alcohol as they were trying to find a spot in any place in his body to inject the needle. The technican’s name was Susan. We went back the second day we got a different doctor. She was fine and gave us pretty good advice and the new technical was also not bad. We insisted on IV so the doctor gave it to us. We came back the third day and got the same technical from yesterday. We asked which doctor was on duty that dog and she said it was Dr Barnes and Dr Wright. I said I would be more comfortable with Dr Wright Dr Barnes didn’t seem to know our needs and make the best decision for my cat. Later when we go back for the IV drop they told us that we are not welcome there as there is a conflict of interest. I immediately know why this happened. First Dr Barnes was one of the owners and her feelings were hurt because we didn’t want to see her. Second, they insisted on sedating our cat Monty to do an ultrasound even though my cat was in a critical condition and sedation is extremely dangerous in that state. I am more thinking if was because of the first reason as Dr Barnes is upset that we didn’t choose her. Anyone who has had been through a few vets though how to tell which doctor is going to be the best one for us. I really liked Dr Darling as she was also one of the owners and she was professional but for Dr Barnes to kick us out just because we didn’t choose her is ridiculous. A lot of the animals die because they didn’t get the right treatment or the doctor didn’t make the fastest decision. It is a matter of life or death of my cat and I am not going to compromise and choose a doctor that we don’t want just because it was hurt their feelings. Please be aware of this place guys. I would say the only good doctor so far is Doctor Darling. She was very professional and good at her job which is the reason why we chose her. I am sad that we can’t see Doctor Darling anymore but if Dr Barnes is this ridiculous then this place is really corrupt.

Everyone is so kind and thoughtful and our pets love them! I had to cancel an appointment for an abandoned kitten we found that sadly passed away (eyes not open, very tiny). They sent the sweetest card! For a cat they hadn't seen. A very good place to take care of your fur babies.
