Hi, My names Tony. I was hired at Melling two weeks ago. Ok, so let me start by saying, the training at this place is absolutely minimal. There’s literally like 10-15 people in the entire factory on 1st shift. So, you go to a station on your first day. Whoever your trainer is. If it’s Rose, you’re basically done for. She is very rude. Very condescending, basically a women carrying her miserable life w her all day attitude. She’ll walk to to the station and say “you gotta read the book” which means just open and flip the pages, literally probably 90% of the people don’t read a word on the book.. so you look at a bunch of pictures flipping thru the b book. Then you start working, you have a question, maybe two.. you’ll be asked sarcastically, like “seriously” look ?. So that’s life with Rose. Then there’s Shane . If you get him to train. He is a good trainer, pretty patient. He’s an aright dude. But you won’t stay with one trainer. I got moved to 4- 5 different stations in 7 days. Then the management there talk behind ur back types. Horrible communication between employees and management. Nobody talks to nobody. It’s such a miserable place.. quiet, dark.. old machines, crappy people.. I don’t mean to sound bitter, but the 15 people that work there are zombies. All just waiting like dear lord, please… please time come so I can leave this place. So, before I forget to talk about Theresa. She’s nice. She acted nice anyway. I actually told her on my last day that Rose, the inpatient trainer I spoke about. I told her that she was very hostile and talks to people like they’re dumb. I told her about rose on Friday. I got fired on Friday. I don’t know if it was because I complained about Rose or just the small minded people and their mentality that got me fired but it happened. This place should be considered absolutely last resort place to work.

The factory is pretty clean. However, they should focus on properly training new hires They tell you not to worry about hitting production right away if you are new. Then, they talk about your "low numbers" behind your back. A massive amount of paperwork for every work station and it is confusing. Some of the supervisors are OK. The team leads on third are nice to your face. A few nice coworkers, though. If you like feeling "lost" and left hanging out in limbo and getting very little training then...congratulations! This is the place for you.
