I recently visited the Peacock Room with a friend who needed a dress for a very special event; her second wedding. She wanted a beautiful dress that would flatter her over 60 figure and set the tone for the wedding. We loved the Peacock Room! The store has an amazing selection of dresses but the owner, Rachel is truly the secret sauce of this wonderful business . She was kind, patient, helpful and friendly. She also made excellent (gentle, encouraging) recommendations. My friend ended up with several great choices. Many thanks for Rachel and her staff.

I absolutely adore this store! The service, selection, and staff here are incredible, and it is beyond worth every cent to shop here! The clothing I've purchased here has lasted for nearly a decade-which, considering the fact that I can and do destroy pretty much everything I touch-says a hell of a lot about the quality of the items they bring in to the shop. They are definitely worth the cost per wear, and they are such unique, beautiful pieces! You won't regret spending the money on the clothing and items you get there!

10/5 stars. Located in the architecturally stunning Fisher Building, this shop has some marvelous vintage pieces and a wide array of new items. But the true gem is the owner, Rachel. Treats her customers like beloved, old friends. Incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and as classic as the items she stocks. Highly recommend the Peacock Room and a walk through the Fisher Building.

I bought a wedding dress with accessories there. Also, I love the various items, like books, perfumes, jewelry, candies, and men's accessories. I highly recommend this store! They even sell cute socks and kitchen towels! You can buy gifts for that person who has everything! I love The Peacock Room!

I love love love the Peacock Room! I was in search of a wedding dress for a daytime ceremony. I was beyond stressed out, I had been to every other store in and around the city and came up with nothing, I was in a panic because it was only a few weeks to the wedding but when I entered this place, I began to feel hopeful. The staff made shopping so much better. Rachel was extraordinarily helpful. I had selected a dress that was more expensive but Rachel found the perfect one, I said yes to the dress! It was elegant and different from any other dress I had looked at and looked lovely in it, it was so flattering with my petite frame, and Rachel knew that. I also liked that the dress was from a Canadian designer, the workmanship was top tier. In addition The Peacock Room has the most magnificent accessories, so I was able to find the perfect earrings and even a headpiece for the wedding, one-stop shopping. Guests were blown away by the dress; everyone wanted to know where I found it. I happily shared my secret. Don't waste time going to other shops, save yourself a lot of time and aggravation and head right to the Peacock Room. Oh also, I needed shape wear so Rachael called Bra-vo in Royal Oak and set up an appointment for me for the following day, now that is unparalleled personal service!

I love this store! They carry vintage looks and beyond. Every article of clothing and accessory I've purchased here is top quality. I call it the store of 1,000 conversation pieces. From dresses, to hats, socks, journals, jewelry, books, and puzzles (and more) there's always something new and interesting to see! They have great customer service and can offer suggestions if you need them. The dressing rooms are roomy, decorative, and needed to make sure your garments work! This store has many wonderful architectural features. It's beautiful to look at. The paint, trim, and every detail is special. They make you feel like a Queen... and they sell crowns! The next time you need a special dress or accessory, visit them! Be sure to follow their FB page. They will do a Facebook "live" every now and again so that you can see what's new or available in the store!

One of the most beautiful shops that I have been in to in a long time. Not just for the architecture but for the all the items that they carry. Such a variety of amazing items from the dresses to the amazing hats, jewelry, perfume and you name it. We spent quite a while in there just amazed. A bonus was the best customer service and the knowledge of the staff. A must see if you are in the Detroit area. I hear that they are one of the original shops in the building. Please don't ever leave. Can't wait to go back.
