I've gotten my taxes filed here in the past, with great customer service I might add. The questions that I had for these people when I walked in there should have been easily answered. They were not...they were asking me questions like I was supposed to know the answers about filing taxes, when the whole reason I brought my taxes to them was because I don't really know how certain situations work. Thank you JESUS for discernment, because I almost paid these people $400+ for what I can do at home. They have no idea what they're doing there, all they are after is stealing ignorant people's money. Educate yourselves so that people and businesses like H&R Block won't do things like this to you!

H&R Block was absolutely wonderful helping my 97 year old father file his taxes for himself and his trust. I feel confident after collecting the information needed and hearing the results of his tax return that it was done professionally and accurately. We left the office feeling like a big weight had come off our shoulders!

Front desk girl was nice but the woman who helped me with my taxes, Tammy, was rude. I asked about writing off business expenses and I was treated unkindly for it. I will never come back to this location.

The tax accountant herself was very good …but the staff that is hired makes it extremely difficult. If you call on the phone you will be treated unkindly …if you ask for copies of taxes or anything you’ve done there. They are very unkind about giving them to you.. it seems like after you get your taxes and pay for them. They have no need for you …

First I thought Tammy was not very friendly. Then when I asked her how much it would cost me to have my taxes completed,she just gave me a blank stare like she didn't want to tell me. When all was said and done, I was hit with a pretty high bill of over $300. I feel that the advertising is misleading and the amount of services should be discussed prior to completing. Then on my way out to pay, Tammy asked the receptionist to help check me out, and that woman was so rude to her. She was very rude the way she talked to Tammy especially in front of a customer. It was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever encountered. I probably will not be returning and going back to turbo tax or hire a private accountant/tax expert.

I have used H&R every year for over 10 years. This is my first time at the Clarkston, MI location though. I may continue to use H&R but I will not go to the Clarkston, MI location ever again. The staff at this location were grossly irresponsible with the handling of my taxes this year. My taxes were lost for days within the office. I was promised calls day after day that I did not get and had to call in myself to get any progress reports. The front desk had a very poor attitude and gave terrible customer service (not only to us but the others in the building while we were there). My major gripe though is that my tax preparer and her supervisor both left me feeling unsure that my taxes were completed accurately. I likely will be having a different party review my return and determine if it will be necessary to file an amendment.

Because of the cost to have your taxes done. Seems extremely unrealistic and unreasonable to charge people the amount for 15 to 30 minutes.
