I live in canton but I go out of my way to garden city or northville for better service. This location will hold my mail for 1-2 days before it moves to Detroit sorting facility. Not only that the employees are some of the rudest self entitled individuals. No customer service skills. Nothing. Then they have the nerve to say please do the survey at bottom when the way they speak to you is like you are inconveniencing their day to send your own mail.

Went into overnight one package, the top to my box was not taped. The store had no free tape anywhere, it was currently under construction, severely understaffed, with rude personnel. 15 people in line to say the least. Went to the Westland one, two people online, free, tape, everywhere, and the staff was very polite. Kudos to Westland shame on you, Canton.

It looks like USPS has lost my daughter's passport. When I was enquiring about that, the staff at the counter were no where helpful and in fact a bit rude. The suprvisor was very courteous and understood the importance and the situation and is helping us at the moment. I give it 2 star only because of the rude staff and NOT the suprvisor.

They are extremely slow. I live 10 min away from the USPS but once one of my packages land there it will take 2-3 days to get it delivered. Constantly the expected delivery date gets bumped up. To add insult to injury, they are super rude in the front counter.

Safety Issue! Recently the two postal mailboxes in the Canton Post Office parking lot were removed and replaced with a single mailbox. The purpose for a curbside drive up mailbox is the convenience to drop off your letters without having to exit your vehicle. This single mailbox is set back too far from the curb and now requires everyone to exit their vehicle creating a safety issue for themselves and others. I believe the post office officials have failed to realize there are individuals with physical limitations who cannot exit their vehicle easily. This is a liability for the post office and will become more hazardous during the winter months with snow and ice present. If anything this change has created a safety hazard for everyone and it slows down the purpose of the curbside letter mailbox. There is already a mailbox inside the post office if anyone wanted to get out of our vehicle. I pray someone in the post office reads this and makes the necessary changes. Thank you

Ghetto fabulous.1.5 hood rats (cause the other half seems to always disappear to the back for 10 minutes) with Detroit public school educations are working behind the front counter. Always line a block long and they do not care . HmmmIf you can avoid it take your postal or passport business to one the a private shipping stores in the area or the Plymouth post office on Beck road.

Just moved to Canton at the start of 2023. I have had 2 packages sent through USPS. Both packages have been lost / misplaced. Less than a week ago, I filed a report for the first missing package. They told me the carrier delivered it to the wrong location and they will make sure it won't happen again. My second package was supposed to be here yesterday. I got a text saying it was delivered around noon at my door / front porch. I live in a apartment complex. Package was not delivered to my door or anyone else's. USPS tracking website did not say it was delivered (at noon yesterday) until this morning. Visiting the post office around 3 pm the next day. Small line, but women at the teller were lovely. Was told I would receive a call from the manager. I received a call about a half an hour later, but could not receive it, and by the time I could call back, the office was closed. When I got home, my package was at the bottom of the stairs. Happy I got it regardless, but not happy about that hassle.

I walked in there to ask a couple questions about services they provide. I was speaking with one of the girls on the left during the day around noon. My package was lost and it’s ok since it’s Amazon and i will get a refund but they marked it as delivered instead of anything else. The bigger sized lady all of sudden gave me a very bad attitude for no apparent reason. Mind you that i left the dentist and could barely speak let alone give an attitude and i was very patient to wait till everyone left so i don’t cause a line asking a couple questions. She turned very ugly on me as if she had a bad day and just wanted to take it out on the quietest person that won’t respond back. Not only did she not answer any of my questions, i left there with more questions on why she got an attitude when i was being extremely nice since i know it’s not the employees fault for the loss of package. It’s not the lady at the the passport window, nor is it the younger gentleman, it’s the heavier set lady on the left register. I really wish this post office would run background checks before hiring people like this because i really felt like she was going to pull out a shank and finish me off.

Message to the on road manager/supervisor.. my package clearly had fragile handle with care stickers all over it and the mail carrier had thrown the package on the doorstep with zero care and broke the contents. -_- not a good look. March 13th @ 2pm

When packages go to the post office instead of being delivered they end up rerouted all the way back to Detroit. If I put things in the mailbox outside the post office they don’t reach their destination for two weeks. This post office is awful with its sorting department

I dropped off over 20 Christmas cards, all going to Metro Detroit addresses, in ONE of the mailboxes outside in their parking lot of this Canton location on 12/13/22. Not ONE of the cards made it to their destinations (as of 1/11/23). What's wrong with this picture?! And the post office is complaining they are losing business???

Went in to mail some packages and there was no one to be found. No signs “we’ll be right back” or anything. Left and went to another PO.

They are definitely not very friendly at this location, I have seen them be rude to several people, they have never been rude to me, but I have seen some injustices on other people. I should say there's one gentleman that works there that goes above and beyond to try to make you have a good experience there, but the women that work there, forget about it, you need to stay as far away from them as possible, because they're bad attitude might rub off on you, and then you'd have the bad attitude disease!!
