Sorry for the length, I’ve tried to shorten this down as much as possible; I think full context is important here. My wife and I spent many long hours researching what our next family car should be; visiting independent sellers and dealers, traversing as far south as Toledo and as far north as Grand Rapids. Upon meeting Luke Pineiro (who we later found out was the owner of GR8 Cars) we were pleased with his professionalism and candidness about the vehicle (Volvo XC90). He answered our questions patiently and presented us with all the options available. It wasn’t until we purchased the vehicle (at a reasonable price) that the trouble started. Ironically, the trouble wasn’t with the vehicle at all – it was in the execution of basic transactions (license plate, title paperwork) that muddied our experience. Leaving the shop with a temporary license plate, Luke promised to mail us our new license plate once it arrived at his dealership, kindly offering to pay shipping. According to him the plate never arrived, the secretary of state “made some kind of error”, so we ended up going to SOS paying the extra $$ and taking care of it. Hmm.. odd, ok moving on. Then the real problem started. We realized that he had filled out our vehicle title paperwork incorrectly once we started to incur pricey fees from our credit union. Essentially the name and address of the bank had been entered incorrectly, it wasn’t like one digit or letter off, he had confused “UMCC” with “Michigan First” somehow. After inquiring with Luke, he actually had the gall to blame the representative from the bank that he dealt with, stating that the bank officer had given him the wrong name. Huh? The bank guy gave you the wrong name of the bank he works at? Ok.. so we contacted the bank representative and as you can imagine, he was enraged and wanted to have a conference call with us and Luke. Luke then backpedaled, blaming the SOS (again) for mistake, saying that they must have gotten paperwork “confused”. Now my sleazy-sales guy alarm is blaring at full blast. My wife went to SOS, they pulled the original paperwork and of course he had filled it out incorrectly. We filled out a report at the SOS to put GR8 cars on their business watch list for consumers. I gave Luke one more chance to make things right, asking him to pay for our now over $300 in fees because of his clerical error. He finally admitted (somewhat) that he “would probably accept responsibility just for the benefit of the doubt” but refused to pay our fees. Instead offering to take “care of it” for us. His solution: to mail him the original title of our vehicle, he’d get it corrected and send it back to us. Since he’d had such a stellar history of clerical efficiency and mailing things correctly, we politely declined his weird offer; actually, scared that we’d end up finagled out of car ownership. I’d steer clear of this place and Luke if I were you.

We needed a car for our son. We looked at several places and websites to help our search. We chose GR8 CAR in Burton because they provided a CARFAX with every vehicle online and at their store. Those guys are Great (GR8). Our son is very happy with the car we bought from GR8 CAR. And as parents, we are very satisfied with the service and quality of car at such an affordable price. They also gave my son a 90 day 3000 mile warranty for our piece of mind. Who does that anymore? These guys do!!! When my daughter is ready, she will be driving a GR8 car from GR8 CAR in Burton. We highly recommended GR8 CAR if you are looking for a quality and well priced vehicle.

Quick, hassle free, and not your normal sells people, they are wanting you to find the car that fits your needs, not their wallets.. The wife needed a new car. We went to their lot when they where closed. I left a note about the vehicle she liked and they gave me a call back the next day. By closing time that night she was pulling out of the lot in her new car. They even helped with a warranty! I have bought other vehicles, unless it was brand new, we never had the option for a warranty so that's huge! Great guys, great service, and great cars!
