It’s very hard to separate Legacy Jewelry from the proprietor Neal! If I was not into estate jewelry, I still think I would find a way to hang out at Legacy. Each time I’ve gone in shopping it’s an entire history lesson in jewelry. He has curated a selection of quite likely some of the finest pieces I’ve ever seen and handled. It’s beyond!I purchased some really great pieces there, as if the pieces were calling to me. I’ve also presented him with some tricky adjustments that he has solved to perfection. If he could not complete it himself he has the connections to make it right. It’s not hard to be there for hours, have a shot or two of some nice scotch. Conversation is great. Do not waste time elsewhere, this is the shop to get something nobody else will ever have. His stones and pieces came from a time where everything was hand done and stones were cut by candlelight. Truly one of a kind in a bland world of factory jewelry and computer cut stones. Enjoy your visit. I sure have.

The coolest jewelry store in Michigan owned by the coolest jeweler. I've bought several exquisite pieces over the years and Neal is awesome. Great, unique collection and a fun place to shop. I'd give Legacy Jewelry 10 stars if I could.

Purchased a beautiful ring from him this year. He has unique vintage jewelry you won’t see anywhere else. I had such a great experience I went back and bought a Rolex from him last week. Highly recommended.

This is one of true hidden gems (no pun intended) in Metro Detroit. Owner, Neal Blaz, has the most unique selection of vintage jewelry in the country. His knowledge and quick wit make the trip to Legacy feel more like a shopping experience than merely a transaction. If you can’t find a “must have” piece of history in this place, you’re just not looking.

Two foldFirst I have to admire the dedication and knowledge that Neal gives to his profession.When I was searching for a ring for my girlfriend, I was very specific on the look which was important to me. After explaining what I was thinking he offered several of his own specific insights. He was never pushy and/or irritating. If u have ever purchased something special, u know when a sales person has no idea, doesn’t listen and just wants to make a sale. Neal truly cared and expressed his desire to make this purchase a one of a kind memory for my beautiful gf. Two days after our initial talk he texted me a picture of what he believed was THE PIECE. that I was looking for. Once I saw it I knew. I was in his store the following weekend. He said hewould hold it and not sell it. Even after someone inquired and offered him twice of what he quoted to me. Neal’s word was stoneI hope he reads this so I can again say thank you for the memories. The ones which included helping me find a ring and all the memories from then on which I see in my gf’s eyes when she looks at it. FYI IT HAS NOT BEEN OFF HER FINGER SINCE, unless Neal is cleaning it. Which happens every week. This review I hope sets everyone’s heart at ease when you have to go pick out that special gift. From someone who has purchased jewelry from all the high end chains(. VCA. GRAFF ETC) I will never buy a piece elsewhere. Thank you Neal C and I will see u soon. Your loyal friend and customer. David

I am a complete novice when it comes to jewelry, so when I was looking for an antique engagement ring I was really worried at flying solo through the process. I knew I wanted something old and beautiful...that was about it. The idea of a 'traditional' jewelry store didn't feel right with the stuffiness of it all. I came across Legacy online and it looked much more inviting and honestly fun than just a bunch of vapid pics of rings on most other sites. So I went to the shop with pretty high expectations, which were all greatly exceeded by the end of it all. The shop is incredibly beautiful and makes you feel like you've stepped through a time machine to different era. Everything laid out is gorgeous and interesting and you can feel the pieces telling you stories through the glass.The experience was just as incredible. Neal took a ton of time to hang out with me, get a feel for what I was looking for, and was dead set on getting me what I wanted (while helping me understand what that is at the same time). It was like hanging out with your coolest friend, who has all the best stuff, knows everything about it, and you know is going to be just as happy as you are when you find the right piece. Which we did...and it was absolutely perfect. My now wife adores the ring, and I do too.So if you want something totally unique, an awesome / laidback / fun experience, and someone super knowledgeable genuinely helping you find exactly what you want, go to see Neal at Legacy. There is no other place like it!
