Masterful! This is the best studio I have found, Durga Devi does not disappoint! I went with an open mind and a recommendation from a friend so I purchased 4 classes at a reduced price. My only regret is not getting more at a discount! But really, the prices for even one drop in are so reasonable for the class length and quality I'm happy to pay full price. Thank you for true excellence and a beautiful experience! Can't say enough!

The House of yoga is a sacred space for yoga and much more. It is a community of love and generosity and open space to be who you really really really are.

The feeling here is warm and inviting. Although I believe another business grabbed the “no judgment zone†phrase, it absolutely applies to House of Yoga. Abby and Dave want you to feel welcome and free to move at your own pace and in a way that feels right for you. Whether you are a novice or an advanced yogi, you'll feel welcome and comfortable.

This is the best place to do yoga in MI. I must admit I'm a little biased because I teach at HOY, but I practiced for 6 years at the studio before I took the YTT. I practice and teach here, because Durga Devi, and Shiva Das are the real deal. They are committed to preserving the authenticity of yoga. They are true to their lineage, & a pleasure to learn from. Check us out.

In the past 10 years, I have visited and practiced at several studios throughout the metro area and House Of Yoga is by far my favorite. The owners, Abby and Dave, are true teachers and they have established a beautiful and loving space in which to practice and to teach. They've recently added classes to the roster so there is something for everyone at whatever time of day suits you best. Upon entering, you are met with smiles and a warm and welcoming vibe that can't be faked. This is truly a no judgement zone and the instructors I've worked with indeed practice what they preach. Incredibly knowledgeable and caring, they love to share their practice of yoga infused with the philosophy and spirituality of yoga. One of the my favorite aspects of HOY is that when classes begin, the doors are shut. You get to practice without any chatter or extraneous noise from the lobby as people aren't congregating there while you're in class....it's a very peaceful and heart-warming space in which we practice and learn. Classes and packages are very reasonably priced and certainly comparable to what other studios in the area are asking. Everyone will feel welcomed here and will leave feeling warm, cared for and enlightened. Practice regularly and you will be changed. It's beautiful! Check out www.houseofyoga.net to get a feel for HOY or to ask any questions you may have.

Finally, finally I found a yoga studio for me. The studio is clean, the staff in friendly and informative. Most of all it is NOT hot yoga. I'm new to yoga and this studio is perfect. It has a variety of different intensity classes. Me personally low and slow, more getting in touch with my body and breathing, finding inner peace. Also learning the poses and how to do them correctly. So far I'm a week in and hooked. I can see doing it everyday. Thank you Joy Yoga Center.

Every teacher I've been to has been great. I am a beginner but the teachers help make it easy to follow. It is definitely challenging but I feel great afterwards. My husband and I both really enjoy this practice. The room is very quiet, calm and relaxing. Also the prices are good, free parking and it's always easy to find a parking space.

The teachings here are about inner strength. They give their best to aid and guide to make sure you understand the position and yourself. It is very hard to find in the Midwest very devoted teachers.

House of Yoga is my favorite Yoga Studio in Michigan. They capture the essence of the yoga and have the perfect variety of classes for all levels. They practice true yoga and don't fall into fads or fusion type classes that many other places do. The studio itself is cozy and calm. They often bring in special guests and musicians that really make this a well rounded studio. The owners are super sweet and have a genuine love for what they do. Can't recommend this studio enough. Thank you!

Love this beautiful space. Abby and Dave are true yogis with vast knowledge of many aspects of the yoga practice. If you are looking for a welcoming place to practice and learn this is it. Also, they bring in great music/kirtan and guest teachers. HOY has a special place in my heart. Go say hi! Great package and drop-in rates too. ï¸ï¿½
