Contacted Karnik for 5-day boarding after having completed the on-line assessment, sent vaccination records, notes for care. Waited 5 days, no one contacted me so I called them and was told the dog needed canine flu vaccine and the person was emphatic that I would NOT find a kennel that would take her without this vac. My surgery is scheduled 2 weeks away and vaccine requires 2 injections spread out over 2-3 weeks, this was a problem as I had spoken with Karnik via phone and received info on boarding and no information about this vaccine requirement which is out of the scope of the required vacs. Called several other kennels as well as my Vet's office and every kennel said they would take my dog with one vaccine which could be accomplished this week. I called Karnik facility to let them know not to stress people who need to organize life events and person on phone became really animated and rude escalating voice to "I don't like the way you are talking to me" when I was being very civil. She hung up on me. Poor customer relations, disrespectful and unnecessary. The whole of society is in chaos, rude people are running these service industries and do not care that life events that are very stressful bring a client to their door. I am retired healthcare, and never would I disrespect an individual asking for my help and especially since I would be PAYING for it. If I could give a zero, I would.

My pup is wiped out from a full day there so I know he had a great time. The staff is very friendly and everything is well organized.

I love Karnik, but more importantly my dogs love Karnik. We followed Jessrose there and we are so happy. They really care for the dogs, very clean and well managed. Thank you for being there.

We're very grateful our 4 yr. old fur-boy cat, ACORN, has a warm, caring place to Board when needed. We've lived in the A2 area just 4 months, moving from Northern VA. LOTS of adjustments & Acorn began staying @ Karnick, just a couple weeks into our move. He initially wouldn't come out of his pet taxi the 1st couple of stays & ate little. The Staff has really worked with him ~ to feel SAFE & LOVED. Acorn now freely roams & explores the Cat Room with confidence, inquiry, and his little feisty social personality, at times. He's had to be reigned in ~ because he appears to think it's his 'Kingdom' now ~ and doesn't always agree it's time to return to his condo. ? We're grateful for the Staff's patience, especially Jes, in helping set boundaries to re-shape his little desires.

Great experience and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We brought my father's 2 cats for boarding over Thanksgiving and were very grateful for the staff ensuring that boarded pets vaccines are up to date and also ensuring that every pet has been spayed/neutered. We paid extra for daily cuddles and care for both cats and due to one of our cats being extremely shy, they were not able to provide her with the daily cuddles, and I was refunded for the extra charge. I appreciate the honesty and we will definitely be using this facility in the future.

Our dog loves going to daycare and boarding at Karnik. She always comes home happy and tired in the best possible way! The Karnik staff is caring and attentive, and we know our pup is good hands.
