I have tried to come here on three seperate occasions.
Twice during the weekday and weekend
Always closed. Never picks up phone.
Hours on door are incorrect

Twice this past week, I tried to go in, but the store was locked while the lights were on. One day, it was locked up before 5:00pm, and today, I tried going in right around 10:00am and it was, again, locked up. I tried calling, but every time I did, it always rang a few times, "answers" for about ten seconds, and disconnected. If it weren't for the fact that this is very close to where I live, I wouldn't ever return here

Second time in one week it's randomly closed. Once at 6pm on a Thursday and now on Saturday at 3pm. Will never return.

Dollar General of Ann Arbor is back to normal operating hours 8am -8pm. We would love to see our favorite customers shop with us. *Currently the phone doesn't not work, we are in the process of getting it fixed*

Update: This store is making an honest effort to improve their operation. They have hired more personnel, who will hopefully allow them to return to their standard 8-8 hours. It’s much cleaner than it was before too.
Original Review: Terrible store! They changed their hours to 9-4 due to a lack of employees. Then, even during store hours, the door is locked 50% of the time, and nobody is around, but the lights are still on. When you can get in, the shelves are half stocked, and there are boxes and totes of merchandise scattered everywhere on the floors and in the aisles. Very messy, very unprofessional. I used to use this store as a convenience to avoid driving to bigger stores for small items. Now, it's just a hassle. I feel sorry for those who don't have cars, take the bus or walk to the store, only to find out that they can't get inside to shop.

Honestly, I have tried to come to this location 4 times so far and every single time I come, the doors are locked! Sometimes there will be a sign that says closed due to shortage in staff and other times, there was no sign at all. DON’T waste your time and gas to come to this location as they probably will be closed.

This place is never open. Have been trying for almost 4 weeks on different occasions. I call no one picks up and the one time someone did pick up. I drove out and what do you know.. the doors are locked. Don’t know if it’s management or the company. Would NOT recommend for reliability

this store is friendly and the workers strive hard to make this store work for us consumers. i feel bad that there machines break down and they have to lock the doors to handle the inventory! if corporate would pay more and not have 1 person doing everything this door could thrive more! people just cant work for peanuts, sorry but true, corporate offce!/wish tall light skin guy would be more humble and quiet, and just do his job...etc..because of that n etc. im lowering the stars.this is not a enough of reson to lower stars, im sorry everyone! im making 4 stars instead of 3......EDIT AUG.29.2023. this store was robbed recently!... i feel bad about this! no wonder they are closing early. i dont blame them! get an armed guard in the store for at least the evening or afternoon to help this store!
