Easy to rent a boat and enjoy the water from a great location. Everyone is friendly and helpful, very pleasant experience. Will definitely be a returning customer and won't hesitant to recommend to friends and family.

Marty and his crew repowered my Key West 17' CC with a Suzuki DF90A. The price was good and Marty was able to diagnose some follow on issues, being able to water tests easily at his shop. During the overhaul issues were found in the console with strength of the steering mount and in the fuel tank sender and pickup. They added an aluminum plate to help the steering and got the fuel system working well. Boat runs like a new boat, turn key and go.
The boat was designed for a 2 smoke and the added 100lb weight of a 4 stroke caused some on the mooring problems with deck drainage. Marty suggested we replace the bilge hatch with a more waterproof one and put a little ballast in the front of the boat and that worked fine.
Marty showed me a boat at the dock that was just delivered and asked how much I thought it cost. I guessed 800k and he said 1.4 million. I think the repower work on little 17 footers may be a charity for us regular folks.

First time customer of Ship Shops, we rented the 20' Bow Rider for a day on the water. Toured Bass River and then headed out to Monomoy Island as the waves were limited and the weather was perfect. Friendly, informative and very helpful staff was very thorough in their orientation of the vessel, river channels, shallows and trip options. A wonderful experience, they have a repeat customer.

Top notch and the best experience I've had servicing a boat in my 12 years of owning one. I went to them last weekend in April. Nobody else would give me the time of day. Call back in 4-6 weeks from everyone I called before them. These guys took me right in. I had a few specific things I wanted done then also asked them to go through the boat and see if anything jumped out. They took the time to explain the things they found. What they recommended doing now and what could be put off. They had everything in stock. Work was done right. They cleaned everything up after they were done. Not a grease stain to be found. The price was great. I had my boat back in 10 days. Very friendly, took the time to explain everything. I see a lot of people speak highly about their boat rentals. Their service department is even better. Highly recommend. Thanks guys. She ran great!

10/10 would recommend for boat rental!After seeing some pretty worrisome reviews on Google and Yelp for other powerboat rental businesses in the area, I found Ship Shops and chose them due to their fantastic reviews and simple rental process. Judson went above and beyond to ensure that we would have a great day - explaining the maps of the area, and talking to us over the phone when we needed some help dropping the anchor.We come to the Cape every summer and will definitely be returning to Ship Shops next year to do it again!
