At Central Community Branch YMCA falls far short of expectations. Their billing practices are questionable, charging customers while closed and ignoring complaints of privacy violations. It's disheartening that management refuses to address disruptive cellphone use in locker rooms and fails to refund dissatisfied members. The exclusion of regular visitors from the pool in favor of private birthday parties is unjust and unfair. This facility sorely disappoints in customer service and fairness.

Perfect location for a ‘City Gym’, clean, so much more than I had expected. After swearing off gym memberships for life, clearly this place is doing a lot right for me to join.

#1 I think it's pretty rotten that I was charged all of March. Then they bill my credit card for April 68.00. They're closed. Should not be billing no one. Very disappointed in the Management. Reported people more than once. Even filed a formal complaint of people on their cell phones in the Locker room, Steam room, and Sauna. Peoples privacy should be respected. This is so wrong. So disrespectful. They do nothing about it. I may be calling news center 5 and tell them to investigate this if I see it 1 more time. Which I will. Happens every time I go. Refund us our money.

Recently moved here from New York and have been to multiple YMCA branches around that area. One of the first times I went I brought a friend and I was charged $15 to get my guest in. Each guest I bring usually has 3 free guest passes at the start of each year. Not a huge deal, but about 30 minutes later we are in the gym playing basketball and a group of kids come in and we were asked to leave the gym. In the ymcas I am used to going to if staff chooses to bring a school gym class or an after school program there is a divider that is put in the middle to give members space to continue playing basketball. They have a divider but I guess they think it is a better option to just kick paying members out. They have the entire gym in use for basically a full days at a time. It makes no sense to me why they even purchased the equipment if they don't use it.
