Dan and team have restored a few pieces for us in the past to perfection. Recently, they repaired my South Africa 7-foot wood-carved giraffe by reattaching its head from a child + dog chase accident. Needless to say, it is as if the accident never happened. Thank you, Dan and team!!

I have an office chair I really like, but the material on the back tore apart from the frame and the chair became unusable. I chose some new material at Joanns for them to use, and they repaired my chair so it's as good as new. I saved most of the price of a new office chair! I would gladly take any furniture to them for restoration.

Very impressed with the restoration work done by Dan and team. We had an antique beveled glass mirror that was heavily damaged during transit. The wood frame had damage and the glass needed exact and full replacement. We are more than happy with the work that was done.

Today, I went to Blackstone Furniture Restorers to pick up the escritoire (writing desk)/spinet desk that I bought at Savers for $39.99. The top was broken at the hinges, a peg needed to be replaced, a block had to be put in to stop the pull-out writing surface from falling out, and the back bracket had to be clamped and reglued onto the pegs. It sounds as if it was a wreck, but it wasn't. Actually, it's a well-loved, heavy piece, worth at least ten-times as much as I paid for it. I brought it to Blackstone Furniture Restorers in Woburn for the repairs, and they knocked it out of the park. They replaced the old, broken hinges with hidden SOSS hinges, clamped and glued everything, added a peg to the desk top, and added a stopper for the writing desk so it doesn't fall to the floor. It was a pleasure working with Dan McAuliffe. He told me that my desk is probably maple and from the 1930s. His work is impeccable. I knew it would be from his website and portfolio. He's a great teacher and craftsman. He gave me a reasonable quote via email and the resulting charge was $25 over the base quote -- more than reasonable. I am happy to recommend Blackstone Furniture Restorers and I would go back with any precious items needing repair. The recommendations on Google and his website are real and true. And there's a cool warehouse adjacent to the shop where you can purchase refurbished antiques. Tell Dan that Lee with the Red Heeler sent you.

Blackstone does excellent work. My antique furniture had been damaged by movers. After the craftspeople at Blackstone made the restoration, it is imperceptible! They also took great care in transporting the pieces. I highly recommend them!

Our antique armoire was just delivered and the restoration was fantastic! It required a lot of work including missing drawers that Dan rebuilt using whatever was left of the original wood. The repairs are undetectable and drawers and doors operate smoothly, really an A+ job. We also had an antique Chinese table that we didn't expect could be repaired and repainted to its present state, again masterful work! Great people to deal with and great work.

This is a wonderful resource. They can reupholster your old, saggy chair and make suggestions about how to make it beautiful and comfortable again. And their wood refinishing is great. Don't rush them; they are busy because they take their time to get it right.

I had a sleigh bed that during a move snapped at the leg of the headboard. I called Dan on Friday, he picked it up on Saturday and returned it Saturday evening! It is in perfect condition and you can't tell it was repaired. Thank you so much for the quick service!!!

I recently had two Duncan Phyfe table legs repaired , after 80 years of use needless to say they were in tough shape, I had Dan repair them and polish the brass on the leg ends , he did an excellent job and i would definitely use his services again
